Mobile Ordering at Disney Quick Service Restaurants

Based on the lines at Cosmic Rays and Columbia Harbour House, I think I may like this. I'll at least give it a try.

I'd give it a try at a Cosmic Ray's - sometimes those line ps can be nasty and slow. The sooner I can find a seat near Sonny the better!!

I like it except right now it doesn't work with the dining plan or AP discounts. I've heard indications that it will work in conjunction with the dining plan soon, but we're going to have an AP this next trip and won't be able to utilize it much if it won't work with our discount

I think this is great idea I wondering how it will work with food allergies though.

I probably won't do mobile ordering, or at least not all the time, unless there's a special order function on the app.

Problem is, I love hamburgers but hate cheese, and nearly everything at WDW quick-service restaurants that ends in "burger" begins with "cheese." I have never had a problem ordering a cheeseburger with no cheese, but I'm concerned with how well or even whether that would work on mobile ordering. Also, so many other things - salads, sandwiches, you name it - also come with cheese and sometimes they can do it without but other times they can't, and the only way to know for sure is to ask.

I have the same problem I don't like cheese and find most things come with it and you have to ask to have it removed but I can see it might be an issue on the app.

i sense this could also backfire.... and increase the lines for the folks that are not using the mobile app.... Kind of like a fast food restaurant whose drive through is so backed up that it takes forever for anyone who goes inside the restaurant.

--There's also the matter of getting exactly what you ordered... how many times have i run through a drive through to get home with the wrong sandwich. ugh.

I see these both as possible problems with the mobile service....

My sense is that this also forces folks to "use their credit cards" to pay for meals (if they've not already purchased dining plans)... And while for a larger, table service meal, I tend to use a credit card... I have to say, I much prefer "budgeting" and "using" cash in the parks for snacks and quick service so that I have a clear tally on how much I've spent.

Taking this into account, combined with the fact that I am someone who HATES using self-check-out lines at the grocery or box stores.... I _do not_ see myself using this option.

Then there are those people like my parents who don't have smart phones and get irritated by someone recommending that they use the "new technology"

Just not a fan of the idea.

Not yet. As of yet, you can't use any other discounts either like AP or ToW.
