It looks like a great place, definitely a good combination of Disney and Hawaii, two of my favorite spots.

I used to say that the Poly was my dream Disney resort..I think I just changed my mind..

About 20 years ago. That was my first introduction to timeshares. I kind of stumbled onto it in Maui. Stayed at Napili Shores thru the entertainment book condo rentals and the rest as they say is history.

I also stayed in Oahu at the Outrigger resorts.

I'm really looking forward to going back in 2012. My cousin and I are planning a New Zealand and Australia cruise with some TUG forum friends and I want to do a stopover in Honolulu since I'm coming from the East coast in Miami.

Hopefully by then Alaunai will be up and running and I'll have saved enough points to stay there. I hope I can get a room.

How do you like the Outrigger resorts? We've considered them Hawaii as well. Have heard good and bad...

20 years ago they were fine but I wasn't as picky back then as I am today.

My brother likes them still and he's a world traveller having worked for the airlines for 30 years. He's even pickier than I am so they must still be nice.
