Renovations Announced for OKW

Remember a few days ago when I was talking about how wonderful it would be to buy into OKW because I knew they were due for an upgrade soon..no..well here.

Much to my happiness (and sadness because I did not buy into OKW in the last three days) major renovations will be happening at OKW soon!!!

New televisions, granite counters, new beds and linens oh my!!! I cannot wait until these are done!!

They've already started, and in fact, the buildings closest to the Turtle Pond area are done! They will finish up with the buildings near Hospitality House sometime around March 2011!

I've been to the real Key West motels and I don't remember granite in the Keys.

I actually thought the units were true to the Keys mentality by not being up to date but whatever. Island style.

Seeing as how we are at OKW at this very moment, I feel qualified to say that they indeed are in the process of renovating the buildings. Although the building we are in has not been refurbished and renovated, they are in the process of doing the building right next to us. Every day there are 4 or 5 large trucks from a remodeling company in there and also trucks from an interior decorating company. We have seen them bringing in new countertops although I could not see if they were granite or not, also theyhave been unloading new cabinets and furniture and today they were unloading new mattresses. Also we are near the Hospitality Housebut I do not know what the finishing schedule is, but it seems Imagineer was right on.

Thanks for the info direct from the source! Is the construction loud and bothersome for you and Mrs. Vette?
