Just found this today and wondered if anyone else had had the experience of being able to get a glass of ice water from any of the restaurants simply upon request (even if you're not eating there!). I haven't ever tried that. Any experiences?

Just read the article, and I'd say it's pretty sound and basic advice, but geared more to those with very little WDW experience.
As far as entering a sit down restaurant and asking for an ice water, well I can't imagine doing it myself, but at the same time, I can't imagine them denying anyone who did either.
