Mousefest

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but I thought I would start a thread on Mousefest.

Is anyone going? Where are you staying? How about an informal meet to do a ride, have a snack, etc?

I am going and staying at All Star Movies (Pop was sold out by the time I decided to book).

I am going solo so if anyone wants to meet up, I'm game.

Not going, but would love to hear about it. These disney meets always interest me. What do you do, who do you meet, how do you plan...?

And looking forward to feedback on ASMo. I've never been!

Hi,

I stayed at All Star Movies last year. I was pretty far from the main building; but I was in WDW so it didn't bother me. I won't go to WDW this year so it'll be the first MouseFest that I'll miss.

MouseFest is so big nowadays that in general, you have to "pick your spots". A listing of official events can be found at http://www.mousefest.org/, but several informal meets and events are planned, sometimes in advance and sometimes on the spot. Examples of events and activities in which I've participated are:

Stop, Drop and Roll--Put on by http://www.tagrel.com/ but open to all, about 30 of us meet at the Rock n Rollercoaster fastpass machine to get our fastpass for that ride (Stop). We then get in line to ride the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Drop). When our fastpass time window opens, we then ride Rock n Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith (Roll). It's a lot of fun.

Gift Exchange--Held in a specific location agreed upon in advance, we each bring a wrapped, Disney-related gift down to WDW and hold an exchange.

Meal or ride meets--Meet at a specific eatery or attraction and eat or ride together. Last year I ate with friends at Boma and at Yak and Yeti; and rode Expedition Everest.

That's almost always how I ride those rides! Do you guys all try to get in the same RnR train?

We'll be at DW starting on 12/13. Pop Century is sold out a lot. They need to finish the rest of that resort asap.

clapping Hi,
We try to all get on the same elevator on Tower of Terror, but if about 20 of us are riding Rock n Rollercoaster, then getting on the same train is not possible.

It has been on hold for years and there doesn't appear to be any rumors that it will be finished any time soon.

It is a shame. I stayed there last Dec for Mousefest and it was strange to look out my window and see all of these unfinished buildings.

Hey guys---just wondering if anyone has any great stories, pics, updates from Mousefest this year. I'd love to hear more about it.

Also, does anyone have the dates/major events for next year?
