Mouse Gears store - bad smell?

Every time I walk into the Mouse Gears store at Epcot, I notice a strong sulfur/sewer type smell. The first time I went in the store during my first visit to WDW in 2010, I figured it was temporary due to a plumbing issue or something. But that smell is there even today and I can't figure out why it hasn't been fixed. I was in there again yesterday and the place just smells horrible.

Anyone else notice it?

Very bizarre.

Hrmm... interesting. I haven't noticed it there. I have however run past the water treatment plant that's right behind test track during a 5K and it's pretty gross.

I notice the sulfur smell in a lot of the bathrooms around Disney. Some places are worse than others. It has taken so many trips to get use to it. It use to bother me quite a bit on my first couple of trips but now it is not so bad. It is not just Disney though. We drive down and as soon as we hit Georgia the smell of the air changes and then when we hit Florida that swampy sulfur smell seems to be in every bathroom we encounter. I am not complaining though....we love Florida!!!!! clapping

I don't think either of us have noticed it.

Wow, I'm surprised most people haven't noticed this. Maybe it's only certain times of the year?

I just noticed it yesterday but it wasn't strong. It just strong enough to make it noticeable but not over powering. I entered Mousegear by Test Track. It was hardly noticeable on the side that's close to the Electric Umbrella under the roof thingy.

Add me to the people who haven't noticed it, but I will try and take note next time. This is the only place on Disney property I have noticed a rather large snake. I am not sure if the two are related.

We use sulphur as a natural snake repellent. Plus it's good for the heavy clay soils of oklahoma.

As soon as we walked into the store, my boyfriend (who has never been on these forums and didn't know about this post) IMMEDIATELY noted that it smelled like a sewer. We went in there on two separate days and noticed it both times!

We were there 9/7 - 9/15, we definitely noticed it. Even when walking by if the doors opened we would smell it. The first time we went in we thought maybe they were having some kind of bathroom issue, but we were in EPCOT a LOT during our stay and it was there the whole time. yuck

A lot of the water in Florida smells very strongly of sulfur. Any water around the area that isn't treated with chlorine, could be causing the sulfur smell. If they have plants that are close to the store, that are watered with a sprinkler system, that is a possible reason for the smell.

Each year during Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival, I've noticed the sulfur smell is stronger throughout the park because they have so many more plants and flowers to water. I've lived in Florida for 10 years and I'm not used to it yet.

If we drive through any neighborhood here while someone's sprinkler system is running, it is a very strong sulfur smell. It's such a strong sulfur smell, we can't sit on our lanai when any of our neighbors sprinklers are on yuck

I noticed a sulfur smell while walking past some of the plants at Pop this past week.
