Why is MK open so late tonight?

Why is MK open so late tonight?

I was checking queue times and it said the park was open till 3am! Why!?

Regular park hours are 8:00am to 1:00am with evening extra magic hours.

The park is open until 1 am. 3 am is EMH. It's probably getting crowded because it's right around Thanksgiving. Families can get a week long trip in and their kids only miss 2-3 days, if they miss at all.

They've opened it this late before. I'm going in January and on January 4 the park is open until 1 am. When they expect high crowds, they keep the park open later. Pretty simple.

I understand that it's emhs and that the parks normal
Hours are from 8-1am but I rarely see MK open until this time.. 3am is really late and I get that, that is the emhs.. Do you think it's because of the holiday? I'm just curious..

We're going to be in WDW Nov.27-Dec.1, and this is what I found during my trip planning process.

MK normal operating hours the entire Thanksgiving week Nov. 24-Nov 30 is 8am-1am. They are also including a few other Thanksgiving perks like special Thanksgiving food and shows. For example, "A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show" which is normally only shown during MVMCP, is going to show several times each day on Nov. 28-Nov. 30, during regular park hours.

I've been at MK at 3 am. It was back when they used to do the EMH for 3 hours and the park was open until midnight. This was in August.

Yes it's because of Thanksgiving. Families can take their children, get a week long vacation, and have them only miss 2-3 days. It's considered high season and therefore they keep it open late. It's not the first time I've seen it.

I didn't say I've never seen it, just that it's rare to see it open until 3am and was wondering if it was because of any special reason. I would love to be in MK until 3am. Even 1am for that matter.. But it usually closes at 11 or 12 at the latest when I am there.

They have weird park hours. I think it's open that late once a month or so.

It's also because EMH is traditionally done on Sundays at MK. So between the crowds being high and EMH, there are some CMs working very late tonight...
