For those thinking of doing V & A , I don't want to put you off from doing, but even just doing the regular dinning room can be quite pricey. The $135 per person is deceiving. If you go off standard menu just a little your bill can be quite large. Ours went from $270 to over $500 not including tip, so be ready and have extra budgeted. You may see something different you want to try.

Sorry to hear you had the flu, glad you through it okay though. I have something wrong with my left leg now, my calf hurts like all heck. Think I pulled something. Not did colored or swollen.

Hub,

Thanks for a great report (as usual) and a look inside a part of Disney that most of us have never been.

Your photos from V&A were remarkable and the descriptions mouth-watering.

Side note: a friend just booked his family's first trip. He commented, "a week of eating amusement park food." I wanted to smack him with a turkey leg.

It was one of your photos that prompted me to reply. And it wasn't any of the V&A. It was the photo of the Samoan.

The Samoan is my favorite Disney breakfast.
The Samoan is on my list of best Disney meals.
I want a Samoan.
I need a Samoan!
And darn it, I DESERVE A SAMOAN!

Sorry. Got carried away.

Proceed.

Ha ha ha! Thanks Cinema Too, yes I love the Samoan also, get it every time! awesome Good choice.

And yes VL, those are your precious Zebra Domes being made. I left you a lot, remember I don't like them, but had to take that picture for you. By the way, they make 2400 - 4800 of those thing a day during the slow season. 60 on a tray, 20 trays per rack. how much do you think they make when its busy?

I would have to venture a guess of between 5000 to 7000 daily when they are busy confused ?

So after the glorious meal at V & A, we went back to our room to get out of those fancy dudes and settled in for the night, watching the fireworks from our room patio.

Monday brought a new dawn and a new day!

we started off in Hollywood Studio's.

Went right for Star Tours to see if we could hook up with Jessi, but she wasn't out at the time, so we figured we might catch her later. Headed over to do Back Lot tour which is still pretty good! Guess who got chose to be the Captain? Tada!

We finished the Back Lot Tour which is still pretty good, they are just replacing the old props with newer ones, but there where now empty shelves in the walk threw and the tram ride still had the basic stuff.

We went threw "One Man's Dream" then (it never gets old) and they had a model of what the Mine Ride is going to look like.

We tried to go threw Art of Animation, but they filled up just as we got there and there was a 30 min wait, so we left and walked around to the Brown Derby to the smoking area so Scrappy could have one. I made sure the hidden Mickey was still in the clouds.

I then went and got my ToT fix while Scrappy sat it out. I just walked on, no wait what so ever.

Should have gone back on and did it again, but we wanted to go see if we could catch up with Jessi for a hello, but it wasn't meant to be. We stopped and sat on a bench on Hollywood Blvd

and played "stupid shoes" but we had more people walk by us that had looked in a magic mirror that morning then people wearing stupid shoes!

MrHub, some of these pics are making me hungry.

We ate at the Kona Cafe on the one night we were there, but that was for dinner, (I waited too long to make ADRs at the Ohana) I'm gonna have to put the Tonga Toast on my to do list. We did do the Banana Bread French Toast at Olivia's, which could have easily put me into a diabetic coma, if I weren't made of sterner stuff. Another few menu items that we did try, (and I recommend) The PB & J Creme Brulee from the Flying Fish, and the PB and J milkshake ( is there a theme of some sort going on here?) from the 50's Prime Time Cafe (our 1st time there, we enjoyed the atmosphere).

Sorry we couldn't work out a time to meet up, we'll have to do a WDW put crawl, if we get down there at the same time again.

We thought about getting the PB& J Creme last night at Flying Fish. It didn't say "gotta have this" though.

Yes 50's is a fun atmosphere, but it's not a "do every trip" place for us, but the food is good.

We will meet up some trip, or some time.

You need to try it sometime. It's just so majestic! You are made to feel like you really are in the Pacific Northwest. It's the Spanish Moss that gives it away that you're in FL.........LOL! This is a wonderful resort. So enjoying your trip report. Thank you again for sharing!

Makes me happy, too. I love this ride SOOOO much - I usually only get to ride it once or twice, but when I came alone in 2011 I'm sure I rode it at least half a dozen times. So I will probably watch this video over and over and over....
