Met with Buffalo Bill & NHShorty for a little bit. Gave them some fastpasses that we had gotten for them for Buzz Lightyear. Bill got a CM to take a picture for us so he will have to post that when he gets back. A very nice couple indead and glad we had the chance to met up, even though it was short lived. We didn't want to hold them up and we needed to do some shopping so we said our good byes and went separate ways.

I'm getting birthday buttons for my mom and sister-in-law for our November trip. I'm hoping it will give us a greater chance of getting the grey stuff.

Back to the report.........

Monday, we didn't get to meet up with Jessi since we wanted to head back to the Poly to clean up and rest for a while before dinner at the Yachtsman. Now let me tell you all, this night was a learning experience, and what we learned was..........it takes an hour and 20 minutes to go from the Poly to the Yachtsman Steakhouse if you take the Monorail!. Oh yeah, and it only cost $20 to take a taxi from the Yachtsman to the Poly and it only takes 6 minutes.

I decided we would take the monorail to EPCOT and then we could just walk to the Yachtsman so having a few drinks at dinner, I wouldn't have to worry about driving. We got cleaned up and headed out. I figure we're leaving at 5:00, our reservations are for 6:05, no problem, we'll be there in plenty of time. Got on the monorail at the Poly and took it all the way around to the Ticket and Transportation Center. Duh! that only took 20 minutes! we could have walked there in 5! Okay, we get off MK monorail and down the ramp, then up the ramp and wait for the EPCOT monorail. The monorail gets there, we get on. It's a lot longer to EPCOT then you think!

Finally got to EPCOT & got off the monorail. You know that ramp you gotta walk down, it's really , really loooooooooooooong. Get to bag check, yup there is a line, at 5:35pm. Finally get threw bag checking, there is a longer line at the ticket queue. Did you ever have the thought, " I always get in the wrong line" ? That's what we were thinking, we finally changed lines and got into one that was moving. Now for the 5k run back to the Yachtsman! Well, during this little trek back to the Yachtsman, I really realize that Scrappy has a stride that is longer then mine, to the point were she takes 1 step and I have to take 1 1/2 to 2 steps. She always walked faster then me, but she did it with a passion this time. I think we passed a couple of CM's on Segways!

We finally got back to the back gate. Had to sit and take a break. Well we went out the queue and didn't know if we should walk or take the boat. Well we got on the boat to go to the Yacht Club.......and it sat there..........and sat there...........and sat there................and.................finally left, and of course it went to the boardwalk first, but to no avail, it departed quickly and we arrived at our destination, the Yacht Club! And only 15 minutes late and a pulled muscle in my left calf that I didn't know about yet, but I would realize the next day.

I had the cheese plate.

Scrappy had the Caesar Salad

New York Strip

Stipped Sea Bass

Side of Brussels sprouts

Dessert was seasonal sorbet

Thanks Dee!

Well dinner was delicious but we learned our lesson about taking the long route, so once dinner had settled a little we walked out to the valet . We told the Valet about our trip over for dinner and he said "You know your only about 6 minutes from the Poly by car." Yeah yeah, we all had a laugh about our adventure over to the Yacht Club and they hailed us a cab. Best $20 bucks I ever spent!

Made it back in time to the Poly for the Electric Water Pageant and got some great shots of the Poly.

Tuesday brought another gorgeous day. We were having breakfast at Cape May Cafe.

Photobucket

Afterwards we headed over to EPCOT. We went straight to Soarin and got fastpasses, then headed over to Test Tract, figuring we might just do the single rider line.

Oh yeah..........on the way over.........

SQUIRREL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is some of the new queue at Test Tract, it okay and we like the ride, it something different.

You build you own vehicle and try to make it better in different areas, efficiency , power, responsiveness & capability.

Soarin was next, we had our fast passes and were ready to fly!. My leg was starting to bother me a little, I stepped into the car on Fast Tract a little funny thinking maybe I pulled something. Well it was going to do nothing but get worse.

Forgot we got on Spaceship Earth before Soarin, then did Figment after Soarin. We then headed back to the resort because we needed to do some laundry. Scrappy actually did the laundry and I needed to get some pictures for the Tikiman.

Once the laundry was done and we had gotten cleaned up , it was time to head over to the MK for our ADR at Be Our Guest. We were walking up the dock to the launch when I heard something coming up in back of us. Scrappy asked me what I was looking back at and I said "RAIN!" It was a solid wall of water coming down the dock.

It only lasted a short time.

The rain actually cleared the park out a little I think.

We headed right to the Castle to try and get a picture touching the slipper, but it was really crowded around the mural and we couldn't get close. We would try after dinner. We checked in to BoG and they took us right in.

We got sat in the main dinning area under the mural

And we ever got the "Grey Stuff", it was delicious!

Wednesday started us out going to Boma for breakfast. My leg was a little worse so I had to take it easy today.

and here are Vettelovers precious Zebra Domes being made!

Well we decided not to go into AK today because of all the walking and my leg, so I had wanted to go to a store called the Theme Park Connection in Winter Garden, so we headed off. It wasn't to hard to find with the GPS and I actually found it first shot. The store is in what looks like a warehouse district but it looked like a pretty safe area. It was nothing like I thought it would be, and honestly, everything was really, really over priced! Didn't see anything with paperwork authenticating where it was from. they had a lot of paperwork form Disney, old books, old framed pictures, some movie props form different movies, old furniture and such. They had a ton of old snow globes, I mean a shelf 20 feet long filled. mugs, cups , plates, but it was all flea market grade stuff! So I did it, was there, and don't think I'll ever go back! That blew about 2 hours. Well scrappy wanted to look for some new sandals so we went to the Millennium Mall! Got there finally after my GPS took me 5 miles the wrong way the first time. Once I stopped and reset it, we got back on track. It was a really nice Mall, freakin huge! Luckily we walked in right near the sandal shop and I didn't have to walk to far, my leg was really hurting today, but it wasn't swollen or anything, so I wasn't really worried about it. I got some sandals too, and Scrappy is right, they are comfortable. We finally headed back towards the resort and decided to do some shopping at DTD.

Went back to our room, and got ready for our ADR at Tony's. Our mousekeeper was not as good with the towel animals as our last one was, but she tried.

We walked into the MK just as the flag lowering ceremony was taking place.

We made our way over towards Tony's and sat on the porch for just a bit, then Scrappy decided just to go in and check in at the restaurant to see how busy they were. She came out a few minutes later waving me in and we went into the lounge area to wait to be seated. We only waited a short time and were called. They were still taking walk-ups so they were moving people in and out pretty good.

We got seated right in the main dinning room.

Our waitress Sandy was very prompt and took our drink & appetizer order.

I got the fried zucchini and Scrappy had the tomato and mozzarella salad.

We both had the Chicken Parmigiana which was really , really good. The tomato sauce they made was delicious and the chicken breasts where huge! I really can never understand why so many people complain about this restaurant. We have never had a bad meal here and service has always been good. They never claimed to be a 5 star Italian restaurant, your paying to eat in the restaurant themed from "Lady & the Tramp" in a theme park! The food had lots of flavor and you not crammed in between people.

We finished up dinner and strolled out onto Main Street. The wind was starting to kick up and the balloon handlers were starting to really have to work.

We walked down towards the Tomorrow Land Terrace and around into Tomorrow Land. We did a few rides there , then decided to get some dessert at the Ice Cream Parlor. I got a sundae and scrappy got a cone. We eat them while slowly walking up Main St. After some window shopping, we headed called it a night and headed back to the Poly.

We got to the Poly and watched the Fire works from the Marina. I went to the Bare Foot Bar just before the fireworks and order one of Aunties Mai Tai's ( it's not on any menu) and the bartender Steve was pretty cool and did me right! I walked back to Scrappy with "two" drinks and we sat watching the fireworks. My leg was feeling no pain at this point, oh it hurt, I just couldn't feel it anymore, but we called it a night.

Thursday

Had breakfast ADR at the Wave in the Contemporary Resort. Picked up our car at Poly Valet and drove over to the Contemporary.

I would really recommend The Wave for everyone. It's never been busy for us and we have walked up several times lately and have gotten in with no trouble for breakfast. Now if there is a convention, that could be different.

They have really good food, use all local products. Everything is fresh and delicious. You can order off the menus or have the buffet.

(sorry, pics are a little blurred here)

After breakfast we walked a round the resort some, and figured we would take a boat from the Contemporary dock since we were out there , to the MK. Here is what we found out. You can't get there directly from here! After a bit of a wait, the lauch finally pulled up and we asked the gentleman what was the fastest way to get to the MK by boat and he said "the Monorail!" No the answer I was looking for. Then I asked can you get the the MK by boat from here? he "yes". Okay, now we are getting somewhere, but not fast. Can we get to the MK if we take this boat to the Wilderness Lodge? He said "No" . (anybody starting to get a feeling from me by this point?) CAN YOU TELL ME HOW I CAN GET TO THE MK FROM HERE?. He said that boat, pointing to the other boat pulling up to the other side of the dock. We go over there. I ask the Skipper, can we take this boat to the Wilderness Lodge and get a boat to the MK. Skipper says, "Yuuuppppp" we get on the boat, Skipper walks away from the boat and down the dock! %$^ %$%^ $$# %## $%!

Well we finally got to the MK By way of a boat from the Wilderness Lodge.

Got on Buzz Lightyear

Then decided we were going to do the Speedway!

Snapped a picture for Jeff!

Then we walked around towards the Castle and "Touched the slipper!"

Then touched it again with all of you!

They had the area behind the castle all blocked off because of the crane to take the lights off the castle.

and we stopped in to PhilharMagic

the area by "It's a Small World " has to be getting done soon.

We finished up with Haunted Mansion

and then headed out to the monorail since we still had to go back to the Contemporary to get our car.

We got back to the Poly and decided we were going to rent the Sea Raycers and go out on Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. Sorry no pictures, but if you watch this video you can see us go by our room at 20:37.
