Continuing..............

We walked all the way around WS to the bridge near the International Gateway/ France, and Illuminations was getting ready to start. We decided to stay and watch and found a decent spot right at the start of the bridge. Well as soon as the first group of fireworks started going off, the smoke and debris headed right for us. It started covering us with ash and everyone within 200 ft in both directions started high tailing it out of there. We headed straight for the exit.

.be

After that we called it a night, decided to head back to the rooms so we could pack up some since we were switching to the Contemporary in the morning. I had already ordered a scooter to be delivered to the Contemporary earlier in the day. It would be there by 7am on Tuesday. People if you ever need to get a scooter, I highly recommend Buena Vista Rentals, They were no hassle, no push, no problem. You tell them what you want, where & when you want it and it's there. You don't have to be there, they drop it off at bell services and thats where you pick it up & leave it when your done.

We dropped off the wheel chair, loaded up and off we went to the Contemporary Resort! Now is when things got interesting on our trip. From here on out, everything that had to do with our reservations or our Keys to the World & our Dinning plan got totally fouled up and never did really get sorted out.

We were meet by a wonderful Cast Member when we got out of our car that led us in to check-in. The CM at the desk was named Carol and she was just earning her ears mickey . Well check in did not go very smoothly, not at all. I had checked us in online the night before while we were still at the Boardwalk. I did ours & Tom and Del's. Well our reservation ( mine & scrappy's) kept coming up with an error on Disney's system. They wouldn't say what kind of error, just an error! So, they had to totally re-book our reservation, which took a good bit of time. Finally that was done. Now, it was time to check in Tom & Del. Their reservation was fine, but some where along the line they connected my account and Del's account & our room keys. That made things totally confusing for the rest of the trip.

But anyway we got checked in, rooms were ready so off we went. The rooms in the Contemporary are really nice. They seem so, I don't know, "fresh".

Well we were checked in, got Scrappy's scooter from bell services, it was ready and waiting, so off we went to The Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch. This restaurant is pretty easy to get into and the food is delicious. Highly recommend it!

Scrappy's first day in the scooter! Ha! There used to be a glass elevator in the Grand Floridian, not anymore since Scrappy was there! (just kidding). She did have a little bit of difficulty in elevators, and we had to warn anyone else getting in of the danger of possible scooter attacks. wheelchair I still have a scar! eek gaah

Our server was named Paula and she was a real kick. She is a talker, but a great girl and I hope to see her again and have her serve us in October.

Mr. Hub, was that a pic of a Cobb Salad from GFC? It looks so good, as so all those salads. I am with Allie...I am adding this place to my November trip itinerary. A perfect tie in to visiting the Gingerbread house over there and seeing all those gorgeous Christmas decorations at GF. And I do not need a ressie, correct?

Yes Doc, that was their version of the Cobb Salad. We did not need reservations when we went, over the Christmas Holiday could be a different story, but probably not.

After lunch we went to the MK and made our rounds, starting in Adventure Land all the way around to Tomorrow Land. It was a great afternoon but we finally left to get back to the room to get changed for dinner at Narcoossee's.

Okay Narcossee's looks awesome, I want that peach salad right now. Thank you for posting non-seafood pics! I haven't ever eaten there because i don't do fish and thought I wouldn't be able to find anything that I would like. I see now that I was very wrong.

Oh Kristen they have so much more! I had the Tuna , Scrappy had the surf & turf & so did Del, scrappy just gave me her lobster. Tom had an awesome New York Strip. It's not just Sea Food. Salads were excellent. That was a fresh peach salad with 20 year balsamic dressing. Oh they make really, really good drinks too!

Well our dinner was excellent and being very full we decided to just to just roam a round the resort a little more. We had a Wishes Cruise booked but we were a little early and Tom & Del didn't know be booked another one, so they were slightly surprised when a called them over the the Marina Boat house.

Our Skipper was not John, who we had requested, since he was sick. We really didn't take any pictures while on the cruise, the water was really choppy, but I will put on some video I took once it uploads to youtube. We got up close and personal with the Water Pageant. I can tell you it was one of the best Wishes Cruises we ever had.

Sorry about all the background noise.

.be

There was also a wicked thunderstorm off in the distance. If you look closely you can see it. It was a huge storm, but it was actually out over the Gulf, it wasn't over land at all, but it was rather incredible.

When we got back to the resort, I started uploading pictures and while waiting, checked my e-mail. we had an invitation to Beta test the new Fastpass+ dining experience at BOG! Well of course we didn't want to pass that up, you I went to the website and picked a day & time for lunch. Then it sent me to a page with the menu and what we could pick for each guest. I picked our menu items, verified and got my confirmation number. It was only for 2 people so Tom & Del said they would just do something else until after lunch on Friday and then we would meet up.

Now the site said I was to go to either the Town Hall or the Fastpass stand at the Philharmagic and check in at least an hour before or time and check-in, get a "Magic Rose" and then go to BOG and all I would have to do was go to the register, it would read our "Magic Rose", it would record our menu, we would pay and then sit down and our food would find us no matter where we were. Well all I will say for now is, it didn't quite go that way.

I'm going to have to start making a list of places to eat solo when I go back for the Princess in February. And I think the GF Cafe will be tops on that list. Or maybe we'll have to hit it up in November? TOO MANY CHOICES!!!

Wednesday July 10

Got up early and caught the sunrise on Bay Lake.

Started out with breakfast at The Wave! Great place and I recommend highly, all fresh and local ingredients. There is a buffet or you can order off menu.

More later, good night~!
