Hello Jears and to our group of Disneyholics, sorry to laugh at your expense, but that was a funny story I don't care who you are.

Primeval Hurl. A "wild maus" ride that spins. It was real and it was fun but it wasn't real fun.
Jim
As the bellhops say sometimes at end of TOT, "Thanks for dropping in." Welcome, Jears.

I'll never let them put me in the front seat of Space Mountain! Good lord I thought I was going to die......You're kidding Jeff! This is the best! Be a man!!!
Well, that's not nice. Not enjoying a theme park ride has nothing to do with a person's masculinity or femininity.
Im with Jeff. Last time I rode that I was hanging on for dear life. So with a second from me... its not really all in good fun anymore.

Yea verily, Mase, Cookie Crumbler, et al.
Real grownups know that riding or not riding SM has absolutely nothing to do with anything that's really important.
Obviously, being at least 40" tall does not make everyone a grownup.

You are all awesome for keeping it on the friendly!
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

I remember years ago, i had just moved back here to the states and was maybe 16-17 years old. I always loved the Enchanted Tiki Room especially on hot days. Not anymore. Man, I believe Disney really screwed that attraction up when they retooled it to go along with Iago and that grating voice of Gilbert Godfried.
Here's to hoping they leave the Country bear jamboree alone.
"So Mote it Be"
Then you are in luck. They have now returned it to the original show.
What scrappy said! The original show has returned!!
Wow, this is like Christmas come early for me!!!!!
"So Mote it Be"
Space Mountain is at the top of my "no way" list. I love coasters, but SM seems really rough to me. No thank you.

I felt the same way when I heard this. I can why Disney decided to try something different, but I am equally glad they could acknowledge it did not work ans switch it back.
I can't do the fast version of Mission Space....I don't normally have issues with spinning etc but that one..I'm sure I was a little green coming off the first ride. I'll stick with the mild side thank you very much!

Given that they tried changes to an icon like that, let's pray they don't try to do something funky with lets say, the Haunted Mansion or the Country Bear Jamboree.
"So Mote it Be"
Pretty sure the Haunted Mansion is too iconic to change. Not sure if they feel that way about the Country Bears though, considering they took it out of Disney Land.
Haunted Mansion got some great changes/updates last year with upgraded hitchiking ghosts and a brand new interactive section of the queue. I really like how they plussed it up.

OOoo, I almost forgot about HM - we really liked the updates they made!
Those changes were great as they didn't mess with the overall feel of the ride. It is the same exact experince, but better. These changes get an A+ for sure.
I can ride any roller coaster, anywhere, at any time. I've been on the longest (Millennium Force) and fastest (Top Thrill Dragster) of them all but you will NEVER, EVER see me on the tea cups again.

Im with you... stuff that spins in a 360 just gets me. Going straight... or backwards is fine with me... and I can't do anything spins.

You guys/gals aren't going to believe this, but my new "never again" is the MNSSHP. We went on Thursday night, and I had been looking forward to it for so long, so it breaks my heart to tell you that it turned out to be a major disappointment. I guess maybe I went in with incorrect expectations, but I thought they limited the attendance at events such as this, so that you could experience the parks with smaller crowds. I couldn't have been more wrong. The party/park was beyond crowded. Lines for many of the rides were over 60 minutes, and the streets were so crowded we could barely move around the park. The lines for the trick or treating were also huge. While I loved the decorations, fireworks, and the Boo To You parade, I would never have paid that kind of money if I had known it would be that crowded. I even used all of the tips I learned here on the forum, like skip the first parade and ride the rides while the crowds are at the parade....even that didn't help. I did get a great picture of my family dressed in our pirate costumes near the castle and with Captain Hook, but overall, I don't think I'd do the MNSSHP again. More to come in my trip report. I'm traveling for work, so it may not be until the end of the week.

LOL hahahahahaha ..... I'll be right there with you, standing by as those willing participants spin themselves to Wonderland..... I too am a huge fan of coasters, but the Tea Cups are a NEVER, EVER!
Oh Kris, that stinks. We have gone several times and have loved it. However, there is a big difference in going in Sept compared to going in Oct. In September the park was nearly empty for the party. Last October we had much larger crowds.
Aww, sorry to hear that Kris, it does sound disappointing. Look forward to hearing more about your trip, though!
Fellow Americans, I hear your tambourines inside my head and that's no lie!

I'm so sorry! Believe it or not, they do limit the crowds. I've never experienced that when I've been to MNSSHP, but I've always been the first weekend in October. I mean sure, it was crowded in front of the castle before the fireworks, that's every night though.
But we still had lower than normal crowds last Oct when we went I think. The closer you get to Halloween, the more crowded it gets. Sorry to hear you were not happy with it. When we went in Sept, we had Pirates & Haunted Mansion all to ourselves.
Kris......my heart is soooo sad for you ...... I was hoping you'd have an amazing time....
