Hi everyone! My family is a Disney family and my husband grew up about an hour from Disneyland. We'll be going to Disney World in October for my husband's birthday (and his favorite time of year is Halloween!). I'm big on birthdays lol, I like to make a huge deal about it and even make it a birthday week. So, since it'll be his first time there, and for his BIRTHDAY lol, I've been planning the whole thing. The only thing he knows is when we're going, for how long and which resort we're staying at. All of the reservations, gifts, and special things that we're going to do is a surprise.
Some of the reservations I got:
Chef Mickey's (he has "a picture with all of the characters") on his Disney bucket list
Be Our Guest
Victoria & Albert's
Fantasmic! Dinner Package at The Brown Derby
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
and tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
For Victoria & Albert's I was thinking of secretly buying a sports coat/blazer. I found out his measurements by using his Class B's from his military uniform and gave those to a person at mens wearhouse. I was thinking of hiding it in my suitcase and getting it pressed the day before at Disney.
He's pretty psyched about spending his birthday at Disney World. He wants that birthday button and everything so I made him a birthday shirt as well. I switched his birth date with the ENCOM sign and added the iso marking below it. And also got him a replica of Sam Flynn's leather jacket. I also thought about making a back pack for him to take around the parks with him (maybe using el tape and making the iso marking on it). His all time favorite movie is Tron. Lol, so many secrets to keep track of.... phew But he's such a great husband, I want this to be super special for him.
Also, going to have two gift baskets delivered to the room, one on check in day and another on his birthday. Has anyone used the gifts & floral service that Disney offers?
I was also thinking of fitting in a couple's massage midway through our vacation at the Mandara Spa at the Swan and Dolphin. Whenever my family goes to Disney we're in the parks from the rope drop till they close. My husband and I did that at Disney Land last year....lol and we were dying by day 2. We'll be there for 8 days and Universal Studios for 2 days before that. So a figured a massage would be welcome by then
I've never planned a Disney vacation before, so is this a good plan? Too little or too much? Thanks so much for any input and sorry for the long post
