Online Check-in at Disney World resorts

We mentioned this a while back, but I'm wondering if anyone's done it yet?

Any feedback?

Not yet, and we're honestly torn as to whether we want to use it this fall.

Can't wait to see some reviews.

Assuming I'm on an airline like American or whatever with assigned seating, I usually check in at the airport. Particularly on a trip like WDW I'm going to have checked baggage, so it doesn't save me a ton to check-in before hand.

I think we're talking about the new Disney Hotel On-line check in service--not airport check in Smile

Yes I'm going to have to give myself a warning for not staying on topic. sarcastic

I just read on another board that the online check in option only gives you three choices for requests: getting a pack and play, being on the 1st floor, and being close to transportation.

I'm not sold on it if it doesn't let me work with a CM directly to try to get as many of my requests (e.g. area of the resort, floor, close to lobby, etc) as possible.

I usually wander around the lobby for 45 mins while DW does her negotiations to get the room "we" want. I have a feeling Online Check-in will not be in our future.

Well, I think that would work for us. But you have to stand in line to get your keys anyway, right? Is that really cutting out any time (especially if you check in during a non-busy time in the first place)?

That's a good question, and one that I think a lot of people are asking themselves. It remains to be seen how online check-in will pan out for folks.

I guess a lot of Brad's criticism of airline online check in apply here too.
