Our 40th Anniversary Trip...pretrip

Wow, saying our 40th means we must be getting old lol. Anyway, in less than 3 weeks we will heading down to celebrate. We will be staying at the Poly. ( I know, no surprise there ) We did however book a regular room instead of a DVC room. Those are the rooms we fell in love with many years ago. So, to really make the trip seem special we thought why not.

Although we have made some dining plans and have selected fast passes, almost any of our plans can and most likely will change. This is how our plans look at the moment:

Sat: Arrival. Magic Kingdom. Dinner Skippers Canteen
Sun: EPCOT. Breakfast Grand Floridian Cafe. Dinner Cali Grill
Mon: Magic Kingdom. Breakfast Plaza
Tue: Magic Kingdom (we do have fast passes lined up) or...Universal (this is really what we think will happen)
Wed: Hollywood Studios. Dinner Brown Derby (this day will change if crowds are still extreme from StarWars)
Thur: Animal Kingdom in the morning. Magic Kingdom After Hours
Fri: Hollywood Studios (again this May change based on crowd level) Boat House for dinner

I am now busy working on trying my hand at making us some really cheesy matching T-shirts.

Thanks everyone. The shirts are not really hard to make once you get the hang of it. I have had a Cricut machine for years. I had the original one that ran only on cartridges. Although it was really cool and I loved it, it was very limited as to what you could do with it. Right after I got the Scrapbox, I went to use it and it would not work. Mark convinced me to just go buy a new one. Wow!!! That thing is amazing compared to my old one. Of course, this one uses the internet so the sky is the limit as far as what you can do.

Kristen, that cabinet is called a Scrapbox. I do so love having all my stuff in one place. I even named it. It's name is...Beauty and the Beast. Beauty for when it is all closed up and Beast for when it is opened.

I have that in what is really suppose to be our formal living room. Several years ago, I did away with the formal furniture ( we never and I mean never sat in there). At that time I brought my desk, filing cabinet and a bookshelf down from a spare bedroom upstairs. The thought was I would be more likely to do crafts down here. And I did. Then came the Scrapbox. I had almost all of the stuff that I put in there. It was just located in several different spots throughout the house. Now it is all within reach. I really do enjoy having it and moving everything down here. It may look a little strange to someone walking into our house but it works for me.

Whoa, that beast is awesome!!! I love it, mom moved all her stuff to dad's old office downstairs so she would use it more too. And she does.

Love the shirts and the plans sound like a perfect relaxing trip!

Sounds like a great trip! We stayed at the Poly for the first time this past May and I understand why you guys like it so much. It is a beautiful resort!

I get adds for the scrapbox on Facebook all the time and I want one so bad! I totally know all the little goodies I would keep in it. Did it come assembled, or did you guys have to build it?

When I got mine you had to build it yourself. They now have an option to buy built. However, it still comes in 3 pieces that you have to put together and I believe they charge almost $400 more. Mark built mine with me only helping by holding stuff together. I would say it did take 8 full hours to build. That was just the cabinet and dividers. I spent another 3 hours putting in the pegs, shelves and bins. It came like this

laugh I said this exact thing to my husband when I showed him the website. That didn't make me want it any the less, but I'm going to have to do some serious savings. Oddly, it didn't take me much to convince my husband that I need this in my life. I might be able to get away with a studio tower, which has a much lower price point. It doesn't do that neat folding trick and have its own table though.
