We have always gone with the family ... with groups as large as 13 but never less than 5, ranging in ages from 5 to 65. We are taking our first trip alone, just the two of us in February and are looking forward to having a nice relaxing time around the world, exploring things we have missed from other trips and enjoying some of the best food Disney has to offer. This will be our 7th time at Disney and have planned a 7-day stay at 3 different resorts; 1 day at the Wilderness, 3 days at Boardwalk and 3 days at Animal Kingdom, Kadani. This trip we will be using the deluxe dining, a must, at some new restaurants along with some of our favorites. People always ask why we go to Disney so much and I always reply, we go for the food and warm weather, 5 1/2 weeks to go !!!!
Day 1 we arrive at the Wildnerness. This was the first resort we ever stayed at and the one that hooked us with Disney!
After checkin, we have lunch at Whispering Canyon and then head to Downtown Disney to spend the evening. We have reservations at Fultons Crab House, where we'll enjoy a delicious seafood fest along with a few drinks
Day 2 we will be checking in at the Boardwalk. We'll then walk over to Epcot to "drink around the world" before having lunch at Rose & Crown (our first time). After a few fast passes we having dinner at La hacienda , also our first time, and are hoping to get good seats during dinner for Illuminations!
Day 3 we'll start out with breakfast at Cape May (Beach Club) and then plan to spend the day relaxing around the pool with a few drinks and some "people watching" We will dine at Yachtman's Steak House (one of our favorites) and then enjoy the nightlife on the boardwalk.
Day 4 we are having lunch at the Rain Forest at Animal Kingdom and plan to spend half a day there on a few rides and the safari. We're then going to try something new: Tram Shopping - taking the tram around the park and stopping at each resort for some shopping and a drink or two, of course. We'll end our day with dinner at Narcoosees with hopes of seeing the Electric Parade !
Day 5 We start off by making a resort change to Animal Kingdom, Kadani, and then plan to head for breakfast at the Polynesian's Kona Cafe, which will be a first for us. We'll take the ferry across to Magic Kingdom for the day and then head to the California Grille for a spectacular viewing of Wishes (this will be our first experience here).
Day 6 SLEEP IN TODAY LOL ! We will eventually go to Hollywood Studios for lunch at Mama's Melrose, enjoy a few shows in the park and end the day on the Boardwalk, where we'll have dinner at Flying Fish, can't wait to try this have read many great reviews!!!
Day 7 our last full day Our plans are to spend the day last minute shopping at Downtown Disney and then lunch at Crossroads House of Blues, also a first experience for us. Our final dinner will be at one of our favorites, where we can sit back, have a few drinks and enjoy an excellent meal, at Ohana's !!!!
Day 8 We're having breakfast at Boma's and then will reluctantly pack up to get ready to head home! Another trip will be in the books and lots of memories to share. Well I hope you like my trip report and would love any suggestions or ideas for things for couples to do in Disney. Also, any drink ideas from around the world?? and maybe some food tips !!!! I enjoyed during this report, it was alot of fun....now all we need to do, is wait for our magical time at Disney!!!
