Park hour changes and frozen sing along

The good news that DHS is now staying open until 8.30pm in October where it had originally shown to be closing at 7pm awesome

Does this mean they will move the time of fantasmic?

I may need to do some plan jigging if this is the case.

Also the Frozen singalong has now issued Fastpasses right through to December (more jigging of the plan)

I had thought the Frozen sing-along was over in the summer and so didn't even think to include it in my plans. When I heard that it would be continuing for our trip in Octiber, I did some fancy footwork and managed to snag a FPP for it (not sure if a FPP is even needed for it, but meh!) and reworked my plans to squeeze it in!

I would recommend it because unless I've read it wrong if you don't get a FP for it you have to go and collect a return time for it you cant just walk up to a show (not sure if anyone can confirm this????)

Just "let it go" watchmaker!!!!! I intend to!!!!

Gee thanks Amy, sat at my desk singing away now! Praise be that I work from home silly

But yes I will be wailing along, not even in time to the music probably! And if people don't like it....

The cold never bothered me anyway!

I've seen videos of the sing a long and heard really manly voices singing their heart out so sing away!!!!

You can but you're definitely not guaranteed a seat. There is a separate line for FP, a return time line, a premium package line, and a standby line. We walked up for the 5pm sing-a-long at about 4:50pm on the original last day of the Frozen summer party (September 1st) and we just barely made it in. They cut it off pretty close after us and the theatre was PACKED. Totally worth it though, the show was super cute and the kids around us all loved it! They would be crazy to get rid of it anytime soon.

When we went to the sing-a-long in August we got a Return time card. We were there at 11:00 and when we got there they were already out of the return time cards for the first three shows! Also when we lined up for our show they let the Return time card line in first and then standby got to go in. This was before a FP+ was available. Now that they have a FP+ and Return time cards, there's a good chance that some people waiting in the standby line won't get into the show. From our experience, I'd say if anyone definitely wants to get into a show, get a FP+ and don't risk the standby line.

eek Sounds like it's a good thing I got the FPP then! What is the seating like? Reserved sections or just grab whatever is open when they let your line in?

When I was there last week, they assigned rows front to back and made sure we all filled in every seat. It's not reserved seating, but you don't get to grab whatever is open, either. You gotta sit where they tell you to sit. And I was one of the first FP+ people in the theater, so it's nothing like at Finding Nemo the Musical or Festival of the Lion King, where the FP+ people can sit wherever they please.

I snagged a FP+ for this the other day. I can't sing at all but I figure with that many people there will be at least one person who sings worse than I do. LOL

You're in a decent-sized theater packed to the rafters with people singing at the top of their lungs with varying degrees of skill, or lack of same. Also, the folks on stage (you know, the ones who definitely can sing) are wearing microphones that amplify their voices all through the theater. Trust me, nobody is going to hear you. I couldn't even hear myself, much less the folks sitting near me.

If you are in the same showing as me I can guarantee it silly wink silly

I've had a switch about today and I'm now doing this on the 21st October - maybe I should apologise now because I will be singing.... I used to get given 'special' parts in church choir concerts, I used to speak the words over the harmony, it was effective but also it was because I really, REALLY can't sing!

It's pretty much all the big ones if I remember correctly. I know Do You Want to Build a Snowman, First Time in Forever, Love is an Open Door, and Let It Go were for sure all there. I don't remember Reindeer Are Better or Fixer Upper being in the show but I could be totally wrong.
