Parking Strategy?

Hi all, new here! My husband and I are heading to Disney World soon, and I'm wondering about the best way to manage parking. We're staying off-site, and renting a car. We have Park Hopper tickets, and I'm thinking we might start the day in one park, then head to Epcot for dinner and some of the F&W festival events/kiosks. Does it make sense to park in the morning at Epcot and take the monorail to another park? Is that even an option?

Hello! and Welcome Brooke! welcome

It does make sense, to a point. You would be able to take the monorail to the TTC in the morning and transfer a second monorail to the Magic Kingdom. You could also walk through Epcot in the morning, going out the back gate and taking the boat directly to Hollywood Studios, taking the boat back again at night. No matter what you would have to take the bus to and from Animal Kingdom.

If you plan on going to the Magic Kingdom in the morning, I would park at the Magic Kingdom (Ticket and Transportation Center) and take the Monorail back to there at the end of the night. This will give you some extra time (30-60 minutes) for any alcohol to wear off before hopping back in your car.

A word of caution with parking + park hopping--watch your park hours if theres a theme park between you and your carat any point. You're almost always safe parking at Epcot, but if Hollywood Studios closes at 8:30 and you've boated there from Epcot, which usually closes at 9, you may have to bus to a resort or disney Springs and transfer to an Epcot bus to get back to your car depending on how efficiently you can make it back to Epcot. If transportation stops running to the park where'd your parked, you may need a cab.
