Planning to propose at WDW...need opinions/ideas

So my girlfriend and I are going to Orlando last week of May/first week of June for a quick 4 day trip. We are gonna go to the Magic Kingdom one day while we are there and I was planning to propose at some point during the day, but cant decide exactly where or how... This is also only going to be her second time at a Disney park and first time at the Magic Kingdom. We went to Epcot last month and had a great day together and thought i was going to propose then.

1. Stroll up to the Cinderella Wishing Well tell her to close her eyes and make a wish and then when she turns around be down on one knee and ask her to marry me. Whats special about this way is she always try's to find out when I plan to propose and tries to trick me into giving her a hint. Shes always talking about getting engaged and I know that would most likely be her "wish" if we were at the well.

2. Again at the well, but slightly different. Ask her to make a wish like above and after she did i would make one too and after i did, turn to her and ask her if she wanted to know what my wish was. Knowing shed say yea of course. I would then tell her "my wish (drop to one knee) is that we spend the rest of our lives together. "[Stating her full name], will you make my wish come true and marry me?"

3. In the rose garden

4. In front of the castle

5. During wishes.

The toughest part about trying to plan it is I know she wants a photo of the moment a photopass person would be easy to arrange. But in scenarios 1,2,5 I imagine it may be difficult I don't know if there is one by the wishing well and i know they don't do it during the fireworks...

Any thoughts or further suggestions??

This is a video of my sister getting proposed to. She is friends with tink, and didn't know her fiance was at the park. But to do this, he just asked the right people, and they roped off an area of the castle for him to do it. You could get pretty elaborate if you just ask and explain your situation.

I also had another idea...

Back story: A few years ago i started taking helicopter lessons and got a total of about 20hrs of flight time before i had to stop because it got too expensive. Anyway long story short shes never been in a helicopter and always wanted to. So I was thinking of doing a total surprise day. Tell her to get ready we are going for a surprise and arrange for a town car to pick us up (not telling her where we were going) and take us to the helipad where a helicopter would be waiting to go on the Disney fireworks aerial tour. Then either propose in the helicopter during the show or wait until we landed exited the helicopter and then ask her if she had a good time. Assuming shes gonna say yes from all the excitement. I'd then tell her there's one more surprise and then drop down on one knee and ask her to marry me. Of course the pilot would be in on it and could take the picture of the whole thing.

I have some experience in this and, posted a trip report of my disney proposel on here. I proposed at disneyland paris, I had a massive plan all worked out but in the end proposed in front of the castle. You have no idea how stressful the whole thing is until you do it and having a plan really isn't an option, getting a ring in to disney is hard work.

My advise is have the ring and go with the flow and then book a nice meal after, I booked a posh dinner with characters, phoned the resturant a week ahead and they went above a beyond to make it special. Also make sure to pick up some 'just engagaed' pins from city hall at magic kingdom. The cast members were so lovely too us because of this. Remember the proposel is over in seconds, but being engaged at disney is amazing,

I say just go with the flow too, my hubby was so nervous he just blurted it out in the truck before we even left the driveway to go out to dinner. Something amazing is bound to happen, it is the MK after all, and you will just know the time is right. I know you want a pic but you may have to reenact it. (we do this LOTS with scrapbook pics lol)

Life is too fun and precious to plan it all out, just let it happen and go with the flow!!!

muchlove congrats!

You could do a portrait session with Disney Photo Imaging and propose during the session. Here is the website. I planned this as a surprise for my boyfriend and we had a blast. The photos turned out great. They have different locations you can choose from. We did the mini portrait session at the Grand Floridan during Christmas. We got photos with the Christmas tree, in the grass and on the beach.

Granted it does a little bit of money but the memories could be worth it.

Due to certain differences Push is no longer at Disney. Sorry to throw that plan into the trash.

I have seen a few proposals at Cinderella's Table (on a glass slipper with desert). You could go that route.

I think I'm leaning towards the wishing well idea. It plays into the whole theme of what's happening (even though she has no idea). When we first arrive I plan on taking a picture in front of the "let the memories begin" sign by the train station. Then again several areas around the park. Tying in the photo pass photos throughout the day will help hide the fact of what's going to happen. Then at the well where she makes a wish and I propose and later with wishes firework show I think it'll all tie in and be amazing. By the end I think she'll catch on the theme that I set for the day plus we get great photos of our special day together where out future memories together started.

Jay , there is not usually a photopass photographer near that well, just to let you know.

Yea, we may have 2 friends coming along who I'll let in on the whole thing day of. If not I'll try to arrange to have someone there or may just not be able to get a picture.

This is adorable! I especially love the little princess in the background watching and how she can't seem to get over the fact that he was there early. So cute!

OP I love the wishing well idea the best. It's so romantic yet very relaxed and not overdone. congrats
