Preferred Seating At A Restaurant...

Just wondering if this request is possible...Somehow I don't think so..Last year we tried to add Sanaa to our list of ADR's thro My Disney Experience but the system was playing up, so I phoned and I got a table booked, I asked the lady on the phone if it was possible to get a window seat and she said she would put a note on the reservation but couldn't guarantee it...However we did get lucky and were seated right at a window..I suspect at the new Boathouse you can request either inside or outside, but I take it this must be done thro a phone call..Has anyone tried booking a window seat at CG in the evening, and if so, did you phone and request this.?

I've never tried to request it before I arrive but usually when I have checked in at the desk for the ADR I have made a request and its always been allocated to me, you might have to wait a little longer but it would be worth it. we asked at 50's if we could have a booth with a TV in and at Raglan Road we asked to be seated in the main part of the room right in the action and both times we got the request granted and with no extra waiting times

hope this helps!

AT CG, you can request it and then wait for it. Other people will be taken before you, but you can wait. And other people may be waiting before you for a window as well. IMO, it's not worth the bother. Get there a few minutes early and look out the window in the lounge area, then let the chips fall where they may. All the tables have a pretty good view.

Also my philosophy is eat first, enjoy Wishes after. I enjoy both more doing it that way.

I was in the Boathouse at lunch time and it was pretty empty.

You can have notes made on your reservation, you can also always ask when you check in. However that doesn't mean that the request will be granted. All requests and seating assignments are subject to operational requirements at the time.

If I were to ever got to CG again, I WOULD ask for a seat with a view and I would wait for it. We had a "window seat"...one that had a high booth back and over looked the lovely roof and air conditioner units if you looked up and over the seat back. It was terrible. In addition, the table didn't have any other view. Really, I think it was one of the worst tables you could possibly get there. Given the price of the meal and the hype of the restaurant I expected more. So while we have no interest in going back, I would definitely request a view of the castle if we did.

See this is what I mean...Our first, and only disappointing signature experience was at Le Cellier, not only was our steaks pretty average, but we were seated at a very small table which looked like for two people, tho they were three of us, and it was right at the door entrance of the restaurant... sad

I know which table you are talking about because they attempted to seat us there as well! But I wasn't going to have that and asked for a different table and they accommodated without a fuss.

Unfortunately we were rookies at Disney dining at that time and just accepted this as the norm.. mad
