A Procrastinator's pre-trip report for Aug 19-26

19 days until my plane takes off at a very late 11:44pm from Edmonton. About 10 hours later I will be arriving around 10am in Orlando on August 19. I finish classes on the 15th so i will officially be come excited then

So far I have:
booked our room at AoA in a Nemo Suite
bought our plane tickets
let the boys pick our ADRs
ordered groceries through (garden grocer)
bought fabric to make our pillows to take on the plane
contemplated packing
Entered all the dates and times I have into TripIt so everyone has access to it

Next up - Packing, sewing pillows and buying new shoes!

Stay tuned for my trip report which will include pictures and the answer to the question of "will I need a cardigan in the middle of Summer?"

Sounds great BUT may I offer 1 humble suggestion, buy the shoes early enough so you can "break" them in before you leave, just in case they cause blisters etc you do not want to get down there with shoes that are not comfortable.

They are being picked up tonight. They are a new pair of the vibram five fingers. Breaking them in was quick last time so this should also be fairly quick.

Exciting! You'll have to give a full report on how AoA is! I'm excited to hear all about it!

I'll make sure I do. I am excited to get a chance to stay in a new resort. If Lion King wasn't so bright we would have stayed there but nemo is still fairly new as well

So my cell phone provider is making it really hard for me to decide if iMessage on iPhone is a better idea with a data package or a Texting plan is a better idea. Everyone I am going with is taking their iPhones and I don't plan on texting anyone back home other than my mom to tell her I arrived and if we are leaving Houston on time for her to pick us up from the airport.

Also any emails I might send can be done at the resort on my iPad

They are cut and pinned now. I will sew either tomorrow or Tuesday. I have a classic Winnie the Pooh fabric, a fabric with lines from Alice in Wonderland, one with bubbles and one with scribbles. I will post pictures when I am done them.

And I actually started packing today. It is pretty impressive. This is possibly the earliest I have ever packed anything.

I always put in my last minute room request about this time. Do you want to be near the pool or away from the pool? I do not know how AoA is laid out but do you want to be close to the food court or bus stops? Is first floor or Second important to you? In the middle or an end unit. At the POFQ the corner room not only have more space they have more windows, makes it more seem more airy.
They can't guarantee anything of course but if you ask they will try to fit the request in.

Also, I would tell them its the boys first trip and you would like lots of towel animals yay I always request lots of towel animals so we always get more then the basic mickey head welcome. I also tip for the Mousekeeping daily wink I have received elephants, dogs, cats, lobster silly, a mouse hiding in a towel with a cat watching it, more then I can think of right now. Some of the MOUSEKEEPING is very creative. My fondest one it a small mouse and a card that says "It all started with a mouse."

The guys don't really care about towel animals. They want to eat drink and sleep - typical 20 something year olds. As for location we are staying in the two buildings closest to the main hall and main pool, where in the building does not make much of a difference for any of us. We'd be happy in a cabin in the middle of nowhere if it meant we got out of town at this point!

Thanks for the advice though! If we stay at POFQ one day, I'll keep in mind to ask for a corner room.

Thanks! They will be nice on the flights (2 flights with 1 short layover). I hate not having a soft and comfy pillow. Fortunately I still have my blanket Air Canada so graciously gave me when I got sick on one of their flights so I'll bring that with me as well.

Enjoyed reading - almost time to go. What else do you have left to do? These trip reports make great reading material when I can't sleep and make my trip seem a little closer. Thanks!

I have to do laundry and finish packing. Not too much left to do. I have one essay left for my summer class, 4 work shifts, my birthday dinner tonight so that is what my week looks like. Can't really believe that it is so close

Sorry didn't see anything about ages. Just assumed they were young.

No worries! I was laughing the other day because I figured it would be easier to take kids than them. The 3 of them are so demanding.

Thanks! I found it on ebay for 15$. It is a little damaged but I feel better about brining it on a plane and through security than my expensive purse.

And of course my allergies or a cold have kicked in. I am going with allergies though because that means once I get there, I'll feel better... right?

Yes! Take some meds and sleep it off on the flight.
