Raglan Road or Wolfgang Pucks?

OK fellow foodies....here's my dilema. We currently have an ADR for Wolfgang Puck Cafe at DTD in October, and since I made the ADR the menu has changed (and I'm not sure its for the better). Many of you have been speaking highly of Raglan Road lately. So I'm taking a poll....would you rather eat at Wolfgang Pucks or Raglan Road and why? Your feedback is much appreciated!

Well, I've always been a fan of Wolfgang Pucks Cafe. We've always had a great experience there and the food has been wonderful as well.

That being said, the menu change has turned me off - they took away my Macadamia Nut Encrusted Chicken!!!! eek mad

Ragland Roa always tempts me, but the rowdy Irish pub atmosphere always scared us off! But I think it would be a great choice over Wolfgangs. The food looks and sounds really good.

I half agree with Jeff. Raglan Road can be a bit loud at night, but it's still nice. I'd rather go during the day when it's quiet though. Wolfgang Puck's has good food, but it's kind of "boring" ambiance-wise inside in my opinion. Honestly though, they're both really good and you won't be disappointed either way.

I also prefer Raglan Road over Wolfgang and also prefer to go during the less noisy daytime. But I really prefer Cooke's of Dublin which is the counter service little brother to Raglan.

We just go to Cooke's afterwards and get a fried candy bar!

Jeff, I'm with you on the macadamian nut chicken...what the heck? That was one of their top dishes.

Brad...holly cow on that fried candy bar. Is it a Mars bar by any chance? I know fried Mars bars are popular in Ireland.

Hey Kris! I love both, but I think that Raglan Road might have a little edge for the kiddoes. I dunno...just more interesting looking inside imo. And we've been there for plenty of not rowdy evening meals. And they have killer mac and cheese! Raglan Road gets my vote.

I have to have the tiniest bite of someone's Doh Bar the next time we're all at DTD together...

Hey Lizzy! Good to hear from you! Thanks for the feedback. I had already made a reservation at Wolfgang Pucks because it was my brother & sister in-laws choice, but I've been thinking of telling them about the menu change and playing up Raglan Road. We'll see, but I do love the tip about the kiddos!

Hey, Kris! Thanks! Work has been a little crazy lately. Smile

It's all good! Pucks has killer sushi, and hopefully you'll find something good on the menu. I don't think you can go wrong either way! But if you do end up going to RR, make one of the kids get the mac and cheese. OMG. SO good.

It's not a Mars bar like we'd have in America, however I've been told before (and maybe some of our British friends can confirm) that when you get a fried Mars bar in the UK, the Mars bar isn't like ours here anyway. We used to get a fried Mars bar in NYC and it didn't taste like the Mars bar I was accustomed to (it was better).

I hope you're refering to A Salt & Battery! yay

I have to go with Wolfgang over Raglan road. We went to Raglan at night and we could not hear each other over the music.

Different atmospheres, hard to compare. We like Puck Cafe best, but Raglan Road is good, but as noted, louder, like a Pub.

For years, we've made a point to visit Puck's at least once a trip. It never disappoints, not matter what changes the menu undergoes, except for that horrible Key Lime Pie that continues to darken their dessert cart.

As for Raglan Road, I've tried to get behind this place since they opened. I can't do it. We hear great reviews all the time but nonetheless, over several visits, we've been unable to have a good experience. I want to like this place; I really do but whenever we're there, they critically fail on several levels. It's different things every time, food temperatures, portion size, accuracy, timeliness, incorrect bills & menu prices, clueless servers, etc. Plus, it's loud. Really loud. I'm not talking "Jym's getting old" loud. I'm talking about Lars Ulrich was like "dude, let's go somewhere quieter".

I went to Puck's once expecting awesome food. (Hello! It's WOLFGANG PUCK!) And while the food was good, it was far from awesome. It didn't live up to the hype at all and left me very disappointed. I've had much better food at restaurants with chefs you've never heard of.

I've never been to Raglan Road, so it could be the food there is no better than at Puck's, or even not as good. But the next time I do table service at Downtown Disney, it will not be Puck's.

I have always wanted to try one of those, but every trip in the past we were on the Deluxe Dining plan and that is a LOT of food. I was never hungry enough to get one. I was just thinking doesn't a fried snickers bar sound good? yum

i vote for ragland road. We tried Wolfgang's and did not care for it. We've eaten at Raglang Road a few times and have always enjoyed it.

I found Pucks extremely disappointing so I would pick Raglan Road

I keep meaning to try Pucks each trip but we never seem to get around to it. Have ate at RR twice, the first time was amazing, completely blown away by the Dunbrody Kiss. Second time was nowhere near as good, smaller fish portion and the chips tastes like 'warm ups'. It can be a little hit and miss which really lets it down.
