Recommendations for 50's Prime Time Café

Tori and I have reservations for a late dinner at the 50's Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I admit, the last time I ate may have been 1989. What do you guys think about this restaurant? Is there anything I should really avoid on the menu? I think I'm leaning towards the gouda stuffed pork chop, or the classic pot roast for my meal.

Tell me what you think is the best (and the worst) that 50's Prime Time Cafe has to offer.

The peanut butter and jelly milk shake is amazing. If anybody has peanut allergy or dairy allergy I feel sorry for you! sad

I've only been once but I had the PB&J milkshake and meatloaf. Both were amazing. Erik had the pot roast and really enjoyed it.

The Mowie Wowie... Oh wait, you are looking for food recommendations.

I like the sampler. It gives you a little of everything. I love the fried cheese.

We have the DDP, so I'm totally down for drink recomendations.

Grandma's Picnic Punch for a cocktail!

When Joe and I went, we each ordered a Caesar Salad and then shared the Sampler and it was more than enough food for us. I'm not a meatloaf fan but he is and loved it. The fried chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. There are not enough words to describe how much I loved the pot roast!! YUMMO!!!

We also got the Peanut Butter Pie, I'm not a huge PB fan so it was a bit overwhelming for me but Joe cleaned the plate.

I absolutely loved the dinner here and when JoAnn and I went I had the crab cake which was outstanding

Oh excellent! I'm super picky when it comes to meatloaf, so I'm not sure I'm willing to even give it a try. My family insists that I don't actually want (or make) meatloaf, what I think is meatloaf is actually just a giant Italian meatball.

I was looking at the peanut butter pie on the menu and thinking about that. Our reservations is really late though (7:30pm) and I did have the thought that if I got the cheesecake I could get it to go and have it for breakfast the next morning. Hey - there's cheese. Technically it's a protein, right?

Ooooo... that does look good. Not at all what I expected it to look like. That might be my thing.

Ok, not what you would first think of when you think of 50s Prime Time, but I recommend the fried cheese and the salmon hands down. Jon and I split these at the Tune In Lounge in July. We weren't super hungry because of the heat but we gobbled this up. Some of the best salmon I've ever had ever. I've always loved the atmosphere but thought the food here was pretty meh but I've been dreaming about that salmon.

Wow, that salmon does look great. We don't do seafood, but I'm all in for fried cheese.
