Renovation this Fall at All Star Sports

We received a letter from Disney today informing us that the End Zone food court would be under renovations from Aug 5 through late December 2013. We are set to be there in Sept. What a bummer! This is our first time at a value resort and I was so looking forward to getting up, having a quick breakfast and off to the parks. Plus no coffee refills readily available sad sad

They will be providing special transportation to the other value resorts food courts but that takes a lot of the convenience out of staying on site and having the dining plan. Don't get me wrong, we did get the free dining this time, and I will love Disney no matter what but I have my DH's parents going and it will be their first trip to Disney. I hate it for them.

I did call Disney and they offered to move us to AS Music but my two teenage boys really want to stay at the Sports resort (this has nothing to do with the fact that most of the cheerleaders coming in for competitions stay at the sports resort wink So they say!!) I guess we will make do with the transport for food and beverage. Just wanted to let others know that might be making reservations during this time.

Decided to move to All Star Movies and they upgraded us to a preferred room. All is Magical again!! DH and I will have easy access to coffee in the mornings and the boys decided easy access to food was more important than flirting with the girls!

One thing I did learn is that they are making the arcade at the sports resort into a grab and go food access point while renovations were going on in the food court. I would say the resort will be a lot less crowded during the renovations too.

I think you made the right decision. It'll be a lot easier for the boys to wander over to the All-Star Sports pool to meet girls than it would be for the lot of you to hike or bus over to All-Star Movies every time you wanted a snack or a drink.

And now, just a little more than three months to go for you! yay

I told them all the girls will have to come to our resort anyway to eat !!

Three months! I'm so ready! I love it when we are in double digits biggrin biggrin
