Southwest to Orlando = cheap!

Not sure if it's from everywhere, but from Denver, they're $139 each way, which is the cheapest I've ever seen! Worth a check.

I just got our flight for November for only 30,000 points! I was expecting to use at least 50, which means I've got enough for more free flights. clapping

That is cheap. I got ours from Nashville for 129 each way and thought I did good.

Southwest usually has the best fares in our area, also.

We are flying Southwest for the first time on our next trip. We have to drive 3 hours to get to the airport but I think it will be worth it to fly direct into MCO. Usually we fly into Sanford and have to rent a car. Hoping to love Southwest which will allow for some long weekend trips given how cheap the tickets are.

The tickets went on sale today for anyone that doesn't know.

i dislike SWA too many stops out of CLE...i wish they went direct. united wins with direct flights.

We booked Southwest a couple of days ago for our November trip and got good fares again. We did discover, though, that booking well in advance results in better fares. Our April Universal trip was kind of last minute, and the Southwest fares out of Baltimore were much higher than we'd grown accustomed to seeing.

As for stops, we're lucky that several Southwest flights out of Baltimore are nonstops. I insist on nonstops unless they aren't available from any airline.

United jus dropped their prices RT from CLE is $198 of course you have bag fees but for a direct 2 hour flight that is fantastic!

I agree, Dee. Even adding in United's baggage fees, you won't pay much more than we did for our Southwest tickets. And the advantages of a nonstop flight are totally worth it.

I am still hoping flights will come down some for our November 1st to 8th trip. We are flying out of Philadelphia
and the $$ seems high. We need to have non-stop (hubby really hates to fly). When do you think is the latest I could book our flights?

Scorpio, it depends on the airline, I think. With Southwest, it seems booking well in advance means lower fares. For example, the fares I just booked out of Baltimore for our November trip are quite reasonable, $129 down and $144 back (could've gotten cheaper but at an inconvenient time, and remember, Southwest has no baggage fees). But when we booked in February for our April trip, fares were much higher, so high we went with another airline. We flew Allegiant out of Harrisburg instead, and the fare was only $51 each way...but we had to pay extra for every bag, including carry-ons, and chose to pay extra for an assigned seat. Since then I've been getting Allegiant emails with info on discounted fares, and with them, booking late seems to be the better option to keep the cost as low as possible.

If I were ten minutes from the Philly airport, I wouldn't drive to Baltimore, either. We're much closer to Harrisburg, but it's a small airport that doesn't always have even one flight to/from Orlando each day, and the more economical of those flights go to Sanford, not MCO, so no Magical Express. So if we're staying at a Disney resort, we drive to Baltimore.

I hope you find a good deal soon.
