Renting a car for part of your trip

There might be an opportunity to attend a conference near Orlando, and DW and I are considering adding those few days onto our October trip. Does anyone have any good ideas about renting a car mid-trip for a few days? WE want to keep the conference costs separate from our personal costs.

SpaceAce -- I know you can rent a car at the Alamo/National at the car care center by the magic kingdom. That might be the best bet. You can get a shuttle from your hotel to go there.

I BELIEVE there is a car rental office in the Swan or Dolphin, (not sure which) but that may be an option as well. It may be the Dolphin.

I think there is a hertz also right in DTD somewhere.

I remember this as well, which, if you guys are staying at Beach Club (which I think you were leaning toward in your "where are we staying" thread), it would be really easy to get the car.
