Resort Foodie Must Try...

Good Morning All...Now I love my food, especially when I get to try stuff out we don't get at home..I love how at various resorts at WDW people have their must eats..Example at AKL the love of Zebra Domes..Or at PORS the Magic Cookie Bar..On our last stay there in 2012. We walked along the Sassagoula river to our neighbour FQ...Our breakfast was half a dozen Beignets..Yummy...So have you any resort treats that you must have while staying there..I have a friend who loves a LaPu LaPu at the Poly..LOL..I suppose that counts also..I'am wondering if there's anything worth trying at WL this year.?.. yay

Not got any personally yet, but am keen to see what others are and add them to my list.

I am planning on trying the Tonga Toast I have read so much about at Kona Cafe and having a Lapu Lapu next trip.
Would also like to try the infamous Zebra domes at AKL.
We stayed at PORS in 2011 but never knew about the Magic Cookie bar, might have to hop on the boat from DTD and go get one of those and some beignets from POFQ.

In that case if I can find time to get to POR next trip I will go get some wink I know I was massively disappointed by rice krispie bars on the whole, don't get what all the fuss is about. Did manage to try a Dole Whip last trip and also Funnel Cakes, and I liked both of them, not resort specific though, but something we don't get in the UK.

Yeah, Tonga Toast tops my bucket list! I can only hope for my dream stay at the AKL sometime in the future, I'll be able to try their butter chicken and naan appetizer at Sanaa, the beef stew at Mara and well, anything from Boma.

Meanwhile at Wilderness Lodge, while aside from the MCB, well, there are specialty Mickey waffles for breakfast, a roast beef and bleu cheese sandwich for lunch/dinner at Roaring Fork, the hotel's counter service place. Artist Point prides itself on their famous cedar plank salmon but I've been told they have a good beef tenderloin. Whispering Canyon Cafe, well, I know their skillets are well-known, notably the breakfast and BBQ ones.

1. Conch fritters at Olivia's/Old Key West. OMG they are good (and so was everything else we had there.). They're an appetizer/starter, and we only got one to share but really wished we'd gotten one for each of us.

2. Pork dumplings at 'Ohana/Polynesian. We were a party of seven and got a huge platter of dumplings and wings, but some of our party were vegetarians, so we had way more dumplings than we needed, and I just kept going back for more.

We also love Boma, but I can't think of any one item that I absolutely must have.

Nope. I'm not joking around. Although it does look different than the one in Port Orleans...
