Roaring Forks Question..

Hi folks, I'am sure I read somewhere that WL doesn't exactly have a food court, tho Roaring Forks has a CS but there not many tables to eat at..Would there be any problem taking your food back to your room, now that we have a balcony..In the past at PORS we would hit the food court at 7.00am and there was always plenty of tables and seats..I would be so embarrassed walking back to our room with a tray of food and getting stopped.. confused

I have taken food back to my room at other resorts without an issue. I haven't stayed at WL so I can't say for sure. I wouldn't think it would be an issue.

Cheers JoAnn..I have in the past taken a family pizza back to my room from the food court at PORS..But in Spain last year, I was pulled up by the management when I took a dinner, on a tray, into the hotel elevator..I explained that my wife wasn't feeling too well, so this was for my son..Seems it was taboo... confused

We took food back to our room at WL last year with no problems. We sat out on our lovely balcony and enjoyed our snacks. You should have no problems. awesome

I myself haven't asked for a CS meal at a resort hotel "to go" but you have to think that if one should ask for it, Disney should be able to provide some sort of take out container for a CS meal. It doesn't hurt to ask for one. Carrying a tray all way back to the room seems like hard work and a lot of strain on the arms.

we very rarely had a meal in the food court at POR and they used to be able to give you a brown bag to help carry the stuff back to your room - now I'm sure you have stayed at POR and seen the size of their food court so if you can take it back to the room there id say you can take it back anywhere!!!!!

I think we have only ever eaten in the food court one lunch during the holiday and last year while we were waiting for the magical express I highly recommend chilling with food in the room!!!!!

We have never done it ourselves but I have seen several families taking things back to their rooms!

People always take tray's of food back to the rooms from Captain Cooks at the Poly & The Contemporary. Now getting something wrapped to go, not sure about that, but yes you can take a tray of food back to your room. Or you could break down and just order room service!

You should be fine. DH and I have stayed at WL 3 times and have brought every one of the meals we purchased at Roaring Forks back to our room (Breakfast most days, and several dinners). We just bring the tray back after. We never thought of asking if they have to-go packaging, it's a great idea though! It doesn't hurt to ask, and it would save the tray return trip. awesome

The resort counter service restaurants have take out containers and bags to carry your food back to your room. Every resort we have stayed at has this option. When we stayed at Fort Wilderness cabins, we took the ferry boat over to WL, to roaring forks, packed up our food in containers and brown paper bags they provide and brought it back to our cabin to eat.
