Sacre Bleu...Le Cellier News..

Good Monday Morning Everyone...Now i don't know how you feel about it, but when picking a special dining experience, I always check out the restaurants signature dish, so when I read Disney Food Blog this morning and saw that their famous dish " Le Cellier Fillet " had been changed, my first thoughts were OMG eek ...But according to the reviewer, it's even better now..I won't go into all the details as I'am not eating there this year, but for those who have or are getting an ADR for this famous restaurant, it's worth a read..I did read recently that you can still ask for the Mac & Cheese with Jiko signature fillet at AKL, but you can't ask for the old fillet recipe at Le Cellier...But after reading the new dish, it sounds a clear winner.. awesome

We've got a Le Cellier ADR in November, but I had already decided on the venison. I can get beef almost anywhere - and really good beef at more than a few places - but venison is a lot harder to come by unless I wander out into the woods with a gun.

Venison is cheap here in Scotland compared to beef..

Ehhhhhh I really had no serious interest in Le Cellier aside from that wild mushroom risotto. Spinach is fine, but my love for mushrooms is greater than my love for most things in life so even though she says it's better, I'm not sure I would agree.

It looks good, but knowing they gave up mushrooms for it, it definitely doesn't entice me to go. waiting

Y'all eat a wider variety of meats than we do, I think. Beef, pork, chicken, and turkey are the mainstays in my local supermarkets. Maybe lamb or duck if I look hard enough, but maybe not. I'd probably have to go to a gourmet market if I wanted to find venison. Of course, I live in the boondocks, so perhaps urban markets have more variety. (But no horsemeat. Americans do not eat horsemeat.)

we have an ADR here in September and although it was the filet that brought this place to our attention we had decided for the bone in rib eye (more expensive getting value for money from DDP!) so although I'm sad they have replaced the sauce and risotto it doesn't affect me but I'm with oldtink's hubby I'm pleased the original will still be around for F&W!!!
