Sera's Pre Honeymoon Trip Report!

Okay, so it's 7 days until I can make our ADRs for our honeymoon!
First up on the 8th September is the Disney Fantasy on the 7 Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise, then 14 days at WDW at Pop Century, from the 15th-29th September! yay

These are the restaurants we have picked. This will be our first trip, so we don't know what any of the restaurants will be like, and have chosen them by name or menu/cuisine. Are there any restaurants I should definitely try, or avoid? :

Crystal Palace
Liberty Tree Tavern
Biergarten
Garden Grill
Le Chefs De France
Restaurant Marrakesh
Rose & Crown Dining
San Angel Inn
50's Prime Time Cafe
The Hollywood Brown Derby
Yak & Yeti
Tusker House
'Ohana
Whispering Canyon Cafe

I think you have some awesome dining choices. We ate at San Angel Inn, 50's prime time, and Yak and Yeti on our last trip and they were all delicious. We are doing Whispering Canyon Cafe, Tusker House, and Liberty Tree Tavern in May so I will tell you about them when I do my trip report. Some restaurants I recommend would be California Grill, Artist Point, Boma, and maybe something at DTD like Raglan Road.

Great dining choices. I've eaten at half them. The only one I haven't read much feedback on is Garden Grill.

Im a huge supporter of Ohana and Whispering Canyon. The only one I don't care for on the list is San Angel Inn. Didn't like the food or service there, but many here like the food and service... so to me its an iffy.

I like all your initial picks and I like all your changes. I personally would keep Whispering Canyon Cafe over Coral Reef, but if you're a seafood lover, Coral Reef really is an interesting experience (although so it Whispering Canyon). Chefs de France is really good but I think Via Napoli is an upgrade. And Brown Derby is good, but Sci-Fi is more of an experience. (On the flip side we have had to wait way past our reservation every time we've got to Sci-Fi).

Great choices!

I love that you added Wolfgang Pucks! I've always had a good experience there.

My other suggestions would be something at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I haven't tried Boma or Sanaa but people rave about both. I have been to Jiko and it's fantastic. And stop off at The Mara for some zebra domes to go for SURE!

My other suggestion would be California Grill for dinner or drinks and apps - something that gets you in during fireworks time if possible. It's such an experience, and it's kind of a neat Disney "history" experience, since the Contemporary was one of the first hotels. I think it would make a splendid memory for your first trip, and the food is fantastic.

I'm also a big fan of Artist Point. My husband was looking at the menu the other day, and said they've changed things up a bit, and they've gone with some Asian influences. I'm intrigued and am planning another trip there soon.

Good luck!

Well if you are a seafood lover, the only change I would make is to swap Coral Reef to Flying Fish on the Boardwalk, FF is absolutely fabulous.

all those picks are good we have been to all of them over the past few years. I always go to the tusker house for the character breakfast it is very good, the only problem with it is the wait. If you are planning to do the breakfast there book it as early in the a.m. as you can because the later the res the longer the wait gets with all the kids getting pics with the characters, but it is worth it

LIBERTY TREE TAVERN and ROSE & CROWN are our favorites. If you get a chance to eat at CAPE MAY at The Beach Club, go for "The Clambake". They have all you can eat buffet with Snow Crab Legs that are out of this world!!!

Of all the places you chose I have ate at Ohana, wolfgang puck, Coral reef, and San Angel. Loved both Ohana and wolfgang puck....both have delicious food and wolfgang puck is supposedly one of the best bang for your buck restaurants at Disney. I didn't really care for Coral Reef cause I'm not really a seafood person but the atmosphere was cool. I am a big mexican fan but didn't really care for San Angel Inn at all and I also was sick the whole next day after eating it....But like Mase said that might have just been an isolated event cause we have several people here who have had nothing but good things to say about it. Also the atomosphere is really cool in their to

I don't really like seafood, but my fiance loves it! So I chose Coral Reef for him. I made sure there are non seafood items on the menu for myself! Besides, I get to see the aquarium while I'm eating dinner biggrin I changed from Brown Derby to Sci Fi, because Brown Derby is 2 DDP credits. Next trip, I'll make an ADR to eat there.
