Simple Romance on a Family Vacation

Sometimes when on a family vacation at Disney there just isn't time you you to escape the kids. Yet it's always nice to try and sprinkle a little romance into your trip. What's on your list of "little things" that can sprinkle some simple romance into your family vacation?

- Share a Mickey Bar (or other cute bitable snack) with your partner.
- Hold hands while watching the fireworks, strolling down the boardwalk, or even waiting in queue.
- Take a night time cruise around crescent lake, sit outside in the back of the boat and enjoy the lights on the water, make the kids sit inside.
- Buy your partner an extra thoughtful souvenir that you know they love but would never buy for themself.
- Text them an "I love you" message in the middle of the day.
- Give them the last seat on the crowded bus/boat/monorail at the end of the night.
- Get a picture of the two of you (without kids) photopass photographers are great for this.

All great ideas! (except sharing a Mickey bar...I've tried but I just can't!! laugh )

Riding the doom buggies is also a great opportunity to cuddle a bit and hold hands in the midst of a family vacation. Same with Spaceship Earth...a brief, solitary retreat and moment! Just keep it clean, people! eek

A late night stroll around the resort (especially of its POFQ or POR) after everyone else has retired, holding hands.

There must be more people who like to sprinkle a little love throughout their vacations -- come on -- share. What are the little things at Disney that you find romantic?

We grab a cocktail and watch the fireworks at the Poly beach while the kids watch the outdoor movie at the pool right beside us!

Since our kids are teens, we sometimes go to breakfast early before they get up or just go have a quite coffee by the pool in the mornings.

Hubby usually always chooses a special Disney charm for my bracelet to commemorate that trip at the jewelry store on Main Street, USA. I always make sure that he gets his turkey leg!! It's the little things muchlove

I thought the Italy plaza/courtyard was the most romantic area, especially at night. Also, a late night swim in one of the quiet pools was very romantic....

My favorite picture of myself & DH from our last trip is of the 2 of us biting Mickeys ears off of a Mickey Bar mickey . Gotta love photopass, otherwise we would have had no pictures together.

We book a separate ADR since we don't have little ones that's just for us. We also like holding hands in the back ground. But we always try to respect those around us. Even when we are surrounded my thousands I only notice him. So that's nice to me.

We take a walk together after the kids are in for the night.

We always have someone take our picture from behind when walking toward the castle.

We share desserts throughout the days.

I have to agree with everything everyone has posted - what a romantic bunch! It really is the little things that make Disney one of the most romantic places ever! I love holding hands and watching Wishes - even though there are hundreds of people around, it seems like we are the only 2 people there. muchlove
