So one of my favorite things about Disney is the little touches. For example, I think the Drawing Room in the Beach Club is a really under-appreciated feature. What features have you noticed at resorts that you thought were really cool?

At Wilderness Lodge look at the fireplace screen. The detail is amazing. At the check-in at Fort Wilderness there is a back porch with two rocking chairs..you can sit and enjoy the butterfly garden that is out there. It is a nice place to rest while waiting for your cabin.
I love the walkway to the Wilderness Lodge Villas and the Carolwood Pacific room. The fireplace is so cozy and the model trains are really neat. It's a very relaxing room, overlooking the woods.
Good ones. WL has so many things I love. I still call it the "Iron Spike" room! I always thought it would be a great place to hang out at Christmas time.
I love the kid's areas in every resort waiting area. I know that we're more focused on WDW as an adults playground, but really, it's refreshing to go to WDW and see so many things scaled to little ones. The whole world is scaled to adults...Remember how big everything was to you when you were little? It must be nice to have sinks and chairs and tables that are just your size, and CMs who are there to do a craft with you. I appreciate that.
I also could spend days wandering around the grounds of the hotels. I'm just in love with Port Orleans. And the landscaping of every single park and resort just astounds me.
The "hidden" hot tub at POFQ - tucked away in it's own little garden away from the main pool with the beautiful theming... I wish I was there now!
August '09 - Honeymoon at POFQ
June '11 - Coronado Springs
Jan '13 - POFQ
August '14 - 5 Year Anniversary at YC
Sept '17 - POR
I love the skywalk to Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary. We watched the electrical water pageant from there last night and it was pretty awesome.
The gardens of each resort is what I am fascinated with the most. Riverside has beautiful rose and azelea gardens. The gazebo area there and also at the Yacht Club are gorgeous! Wilderness Lodge courtyard area (whole resort acutally)the landscaping makes you feel like you are in Wyoming or Montana. The only thing that gives it away that it's Florida is the Spanish Moss draping over the tree branches down by the boat dock.
I love how beautiful the grounds are too. I could walk around Coronado Springs every day and see something new. I also like how the CMs at the resorts give so much attention to the kids at check-in. Last year they gave them Mickey Mouse Stickers and helped them cover themselves in them.
On my last trip last week, I just really enjoyed the "flickering" lanterns on the walkway between the WL and Villas as you walk to or from the bus stop in the evening. It really lends to the authenticity of the theming. I also love the animal footprints that were cast into the cement sidewalks. Those little things make such a huge difference but only Disney seems to do them.

At the Grand Floridian they have laundry hampers for the towels in the vanity area. I love that we don't just toss the dirty ones in a pile on the floor. It's a small thing, but feels very elegant for a hotel room.
One of my favorite things was at AKL. The CM singing and playing a drum in the lobby and waiting area between Boma and Jiko!
There's a rock in Animal Kingdom Lodge with a little metal lizard perched on top with a scrawled note saying, 'lizards crossing'. Little unnoticed things like that are too cute!

Yes... I love this. There is always something going on, and I just LOVE it when music is playing through the main room and below. Just so nice. Also... the walkway out to the savannah, and the little bridge in the main room on floor 5 I believe. AND THE CHRISTMAS TREE!
