So, what's the first thing that you do when you get to the Wild Kingdom of Disney? Meander through and look at Animals? Talk to the birds at Rainforest? Head for a thrill ride?

It seems like the last few times we've been waiting in line to get through the gates--we must have been there early--and we always look for the guy who is controlling the talking trashcan. Haha!
Other than that I guess the first thing we do is book it to EE to get a FastPass. I wish we would stop and enjoy the animals more..we probably will this time around.

I'm really hoping that Primevel Whirl is open again the next time I make it back, and I want to do Kali Rapids and Expedition Everest. What age do you think is appropriate for EE? DD6 loves Thunder Mountain, and wants to do SM the next time we're at MK, but I wonder if EE is appropriate or too intense?
We were there yesterday and Primevial Whirl is still closed. We made it for rope drop and walked straight to EE. We rode it over and over, by 9:40 we were on our 5th time, plus we had a fast pass! It is my favorite ride in ALL of Disney, but by the 5th time, my migraine was starting to return, so I passed on the fast pass last ride. We have waited in line for an hr to ride it many times , so when the line says 5 mins and you literally walk right on to the next car as it pulls up, 5 times wasn't too bad!

We are always headed to breakfast when we enter Animal Kingdom. We eat at either Rain Forrest or Tusker House. Once we finish breakfast we either really look at the animals or do Its Tough to be a Bug then head to EE. Pretty much anythings goes after that.

Lizzy,
We've had friends w little ones who love EE. If he likes BTMRR and wants to try SM, he may be ok. The dark is the thing that is scary, and if he wants to do SM...I'll bet he'll like it. Every time we're on it there's lots of younger kiddos riding. We have a joke with Riley, when she was younger she used to repeat "It's only a projection it's only a projection" over and over, so we say it to her now and she just laughs, she's so big now! Yesterday she rode the whole thing w her arms up! Maybe give him some warnings before.
I think Dinosaur is more intense than EE.

We always head to Kil. Safari since the animals are always more active during the morning.
Umm we've only been to Animal Kingdom once in our recent trips so i don't think we really have a certain thing that we do.
Yeah.... we usually head back and do the Safari... other than that... nothing special. No must do's

This is awesome insight. Thanks, Julie!
AK is the one park that I ALWAYS make sure to do the early entrance day. First thing we do is hit the safari.. after that, we head to Expedition Everest, grab a fast pass, then get in the stand by line--which is usually only about 15 min or so. By the time you're through the line, it's time for your fast pass!
