South American Tour Groups.?..

Good Morning, oh and Happy Thanksgiving...On a recent thread I read one member having to move out of the mansion building at PORS to Alligator Bayou due to 20 girls sitting outside their room causing noise way past bedtime..I'am talking about the South American tour groups...Can someone tell me, are they a school trip organised back home, and if so, how do they manage to afford a moderate resort..I read back home here about poverty in general, of so many South American countries..eg..Brazil,Uruguay,Argentina,etc..When I was that age, we were lucky to get 5 days at a local seaside bed and breakfast...What I'am trying to work out is that tour group subsidised by their school..??...Yes I've seen them at PORS also..But yet to hear any noise at night from them..Just curious how so many of these tour groups can afford a vacation that school children in my country would consider a magical dream come true..When I watch a TV quiz show over here, and the compare asks the contestant, " If you win the money, what will you do?" ..8 out of 10 contestants say.." Take the kids on holiday to Disney World."

From what I've heard, Disney cuts them a great deal since they come with 200 people or more in the groups. They use like Alltour and I think they get deals through them. For food and shopping, they use gift cards which only have like $10-$20 on each card. They don't just go to Disney, they also go to Universal. I've heard people say that the same groups were at Universal at the same time as the people.

They also come in the "off season" like January since it's their summer. Also Brazil isn't as bad off you'd think. Most households have a nanny/maid that do all the house chores for the family.

This is true, although I'm not sure I would say "most". Some. But there is a fair amount of poverty, but you are right, those are probably not the kids running around Disney causing a ruckus.

There were a number of Brazilians there in November. Not the large LARGE tour groups, but definitely some school trips of some sort.

I saw a tour group from Brazil in MK while I was there last month. The only other time I've seen a South American tour group was two years ago. I was taking the bus back to Pop from DHS and they were on the bus. I never saw them at the resort before or after that.

I did ask the Brazilian cps I became friends with and they said a lot of homes have some sort of nanny/maid living in the house. Not sure if it's just where they are from that they were talking about or not.

I met a group from Argentina last year, and since I speak Spanish, I asked them, and they said yes they were there with their school as kind of a "We're finishing up middle school" type thing. I'm hoping I don't run into them on my next trip since I'm staying at Pop. Hoping since I'm going the first week of January that they'll still be finishing up their Christmas stuff since, at least in Hispanic countries, Christmas goes until Jan 6.
