So far things are great!

Only incident was at MK tonight. We witnessed a very unsettling altercation. As we were leaving during the parade, we were at the corner of Main Street by the plaza trying to get to the sidewalk, there was a man in front of us on a scooter. Another family cut in front of him and he had to quickly stop and almost hit the other man. The man not in the scooter starting yelling at the man in scooter saying " what the F are you doing". I'm not sure what the man in the scooter said back but next thing we knew, the other guy and his buddy start throwing punches! They hit the poor man in the scooter in the head and body before a bystander came to his aid. He got them separated and the man said he was ok. It didn't look like any cast members or undercover security were around. Hopefully they report those men! I don't care what he said, he shouldn't have been assaulted like that!
It really was upsetting. I didn't expect to see violence like that eek

WOW. So sorry you had to see that. It is a little testy getting out of there after the shows but no need to act like that! Hope the rest is all smooth sailing and magical!

Made it home. Our flight left pretty much on time ( maybe 10min late). We were through customs in Toronto in no time! Then we had a four hour drive home and had to go grocery shopping. Back to reality pretty quick laugh

Trip report is coming soon! mickey

Trip report time! biggrin

Sept 7 We flew WestJet from Toronto and sadly did not get (or see) the Mickey plane sad . We did not book our seats in advance because we were too cheap to pay $20 per seat ( so about $80 in the end) laugh We took our chances that we would get seated together when we checked in. Not only were we together, we got put in the plus section! For those wondering what the plus section is ( we didn't even know lol), you pay more and get free bag check (we didn't get this though), free food, extra leg room, and preboarding. It was awesome! Our flight was supposed to leave at 10:35am but actually left a few minutes earlier yay We landed in Orlando around 1:00 (25 minutes early) and headed straight for the Magical Express. Boardwalk Villas was our destination.

After checking in, we left our carryons with bell services as our room was not ready and headed out to the Boardwalk area. It was already pretty hot. Ice cream at Seashore Sweets was a cure for that. I enjoyed a birthday cake ice cream while Erik went with the classic mint chip. We wandered the Boardwalk a bit more then sat in the air conditioned lobby until our room was ready. The room was nice but it was pretty far from the lobby and elevators. The view was fantastic! I loved the Boardwalk view awesome

After resting for a bit, we headed over to Hollywood Studios. First up was Indiana Jones followed by Toy Story Mania, One Man's Dream and Muppet Vision 3D. Dinner was at Pizza Planet. Can't go wrong with pizza and a cupcake! This happened to be the last night of Frozen Summer Fun so we stayed to see the fireworks. It started to rain a bit about 20 minutes before but luckily it held off. The fireworks were good, but they were no Wishes Wink

Sept 8 Today was the day we were attempting to make MK rope drop. Once again we failed gaah Well I guess Erik made it in time, I had to pick the slowest ever bag check line. I saw most of the Welcome Show from the line but it wasn't the same. Next time! Once in the park, we headed for Adventureland. We walked through the Swiss Family Robinson tree house and rode the Jungle Cruise and Carpet of Aladdin before heading to Frontierland (Pirates was closed during our trip). After Splash Mountain and Big thunder, we went to Fantasyland and rode Cinderella's carousel. Then we were off to another carousel, the carousel of progress! The heat was getting bad after that so we headed over to the Polynesian for lunch at Captain Cooks ( our first time there). It was delicious! Erik had the Big Kahuna sandwich and I had the pulled pork nachos. We hopped on a HS bus and walked from there back over to Boardwalk in search of the Speedway gas station. We found it ok but they didn't have as much of a selection as I was hoping.

After a nice nap, we headed back to MK. It started raining as soon as we got there. I've never seen Main Street USA so empty laugh Everyone was taking cover under the shops. We headed for our FP at Space Mountain. It was still raining when we got off but it let up soon enough. We stopped at Small World on our way to our Thunder Mountain FP. We had dinner at Liberty Square Market, baked potatoes and veggies with dip. The potatoes were really good. Our last FP was for 7DMT but it was down so we used it for Buzz instead. Erik cheated to win as usual Wink. We headed for the exit as it started to rain again. Luckily we made it back to our room ( with a cheesecake brownie from Boardwalk Bakery) before the downpour hit.

Sept 9 Today we headed over to Animal kingdom. We did the safari where we saw quite a few animals and then headed for Expedition Everest. We walked around for a bit then headed to Animal Kingdom Lodge for lunch at Sanaa. It was our first time there and we really enjoyed it. We had the bread service, samosas and a peri peri chicken sandwich. Everything was tasty and I loved having a window seat.

After lunch we headed back to the room for a rest and then went to Hollywood Studios for the evening. We had FP+ for Tower of Terror, Rockin Roller Coaster and Star Tours. We needed none of them as they all had a 10-20 min wait and the most. Basically walk on. We split the Asian salad at the ABC Commissionary then had a carrot cake cookie and Goofy glacier. Since we had FP+ for Fantasmic later in the week, we decided to call it a night. We grabbed a tea at the Boardwalk Bakery and sat on the balcony for a bit. We could see both Illuminations and Wishes biggrin . It was still pretty humid out so we didn't stay out too long.

Sept 10 We got up early to head to Magic Kingdom. Our first stop was Gaston's Tavern for a cinnamon roll ( it did not disappoint). Then we headed back to Main Street to check in for the Keys to the Kingdom tour yay I loved the tour! I think the Utilidors were my favourite ( they were the main reason for booking the tour). Iv'e heard that it smells but it was fine when we went. Lunch with the tour was at Columbia Harbour House. It was our first time there. Erik got a sandwich and I got a salad so we could share them. The salad was good but we ended up getting the wrong sandwich sad It was tuna yuck We're not fans of seafood. During the tour we rode the Jungle Cruise and Haunted mansion. The tour lasted about 5 hours and I enjoyed every minute mickey

After the tour, we headed back to the room for a nap. We headed to Epcot where the crowds seemed pretty low. We did Captain EO, Spaceship Earth and Test Track. We had dinner at Tangeriene Cafe in Morocco which was really good. Dessert was ice cream from France. I had the chocolate macaroon ice cream sandwich but it seemed to be smaller than before sad It was still delicious though! We watched Illuminations then walked back to the room. I LOVE being about to walk to parks biggrin

September 11 After sleeping in a bit we headed to Blizzard Beach for a couple hours. It was the busiest we've ever seen it, but it wasn't too bad. Most slides were about a 10 minute wait. I now understand why they recommend water shoes, that pavement gets HOT! We did a few slides, the lazy river and the wave pool before grabbing lunch. After lunch we went back to the resort and lounged around for a bit.

We spent the evening at Downtown Disney. DisneyQuest was our first stop. We played a bunch of games ( I was on a roll and won most of them) and we did the Astro Blasters twice. I have to admit that I will miss DisneyQuest. Not that we went a lot, but at least once a trip. Next up was dinner at Portobello. We split a ceasar salad and a pepperoni pizza. We really enjoyed it and would return. We got dessert at Ghiradelli. We went for the Presidio Passion which is a strawberry and hot fudge sundae. Delicious! We did a bit of shopping before heading back to the room.

September 12 Today started early at the Magic Kingdom. We had FP+ for Under the Sea with Ariel, Peter Pan and Enchanted Tales with Belle. We rode one of the Main Street vehicles down to the castle since we've never done that before. It was slow going but we enjoyed it. After Ariel and Peter Pan, it was time for lunch at Be Our Guest. I had the turkey sandwich and Erik had the quinoa salad. Both were good but nothing special. We've eaten lunch here twice now and I'm in no hurry to return. Not that there was anything wrong with it, just that I don't like having to make an ADR for a quick service. After lunch we did Enchanted Tales with Belle. This was a first for us. I knew they had guests take part in it, but I thought it was just kids who volunteered. Then Erik got picked to be a knight! Shock I don't think he was too impressed haha. He did some fine marching though Wink

After wandering around a bit we rode the peoplemover before heading to the boat launch to get to the Wilderness Lodge. I finally got to try a magic cookie bar awesome They are good! We found the nature trail and walked over to Fort Wilderness. We had dinner at Trails End which is one of our favourite restaurants. The food is really good and it's not a bad price either. Once we rolled out of the restaurant, we stopped at a pin booth to do some trading. We FINALLY found a hidden Mickey Pascal pin! We've been looking for them since last October. We also learned that there was a pin board at the Settlement Trading post that was only open from 7:30PM-8:00PM for trading. As it was almost 7:30, we headed over. Sadly there were no Pascals on the board. We did find another one there on a cast members lanyard though mickey There was a thunderstorm and torrential downpour waiting for us outside so we had to sit tight for a bit. Once the storm passed, we headed back to Magic Kingdom to get on a bus back to the resort. We ended the night with tea on the balcony watching what we could see of Illuminations.

I've never ridden one of the trolleys either! I always mean to but other things always seem to get in the way. Did you have to wait for one to arrive or were they sitting at the beginning of Main Street when you walked in?
