Star Wars confusion?

Ok so I have been seeing all the posts about the amazing new stuff happening I guess I am a little confused on the star wars stuff. I hear they are expanding on star wars stuff at HS but they are doing something with space mountain? But I am confused if this is a certain time of the year or permanent? I would be a little upset if it were permanent. Space mountain is a classic.

I see what you saw, that is in Disney Land, not Walt Disney World. You're talking about the "Hyperspace Mountain"?

Yes, it is Disneyland Space Mountain that is getting the Star Wars "make-over". I am anxiously awaiting news on the Star Wars "Season" I heard talk of. I haven't seen much about it other than it will be different from SW Weekends.....

FutureMrsHurst - California's Disneyland is also getting a somewhat identical Star Wars Land, there Star Tours and Jedi Academy are currently located in Tomorrowland, so doing a layover for Space Mountain works quite well. That will be different at Walt Disney World. I understand your confusion though, the press release was worded oddly if you didn't know that.

JMed - Only very basic information was released. Season of the Force confused me a bit, the only thing we know about it for sure is that there will be "brand new fireworks spectacular set to the iconic score of the Star Wars movies" only on the weekends at DHS. But the Florida Park has had that with Star Wars Weekends anyhow, and so it left me a little confused.

Yep that's the one. Ok the release was super confusing!!! I can see Disneyland getting that and adding the other Star Wars thing as I do not believe they have anything Star Wars there. I'm not so knowledgable on DisneyLand.

Thanks guys Space Mountain is one of my favorites and I was to chicken to ride it when I was little so I have only been riding it since I was about 16. It's one of my favorites and I love the theming on it now. I like star wars too but I feel like that is best kept with the star wars section at HS.

I think the confusion comes from rumors that a Star Wars themed Cantina and a Star War Land awesome "could be on the horizon for Disney World as part of the proposed Star Wars expansion". So, we are not imagining things or out to lunch crossfingers

"Disney also announced plans to create two Star Wars-themed lands in its theme parks in Orlando and Anaheim".

"Each 14-acre site will include a replica Millennium Falcon which visitors will be able to fly on a "secret mission" and will be designed as an immersive experience featuring characters, shops and other attractions from the Star Wars universe".

I hope mickey
