The Surf & Turf At Disney...

Good Morning Disney Food Lovers...As I was preparing my Haggis for tonight..It's Rabbie Burns day here in Scotland..I got to thinking about what my DW asked me last night...Here's my problem...You see my DW loves fish more than meat..So when I decided to book an ADR for Yachtsmen she had a wee look at the menu and asked what is the best restaurant at Disney for doing both meat and fish..This got me thinking also...Now as much as I love my steaks, I also enjoy fish, but lean more towards Shellfish...Love Lobster..Crab..Langoustine..etc...So over to you good people..Where would you pick for the ultimate Surf & Turf at Disney.?.. date

The Flying fish at the Boardwalk is a great choice.

Hmm...well considering you don't fancy the Grand Floridian and Fultons from what I heard is fairly mixed, yeah, Flying Fish is your best bet. You can get their NY Strip steak and their famous potato wrapped snapper on a plate. Narcoossees has a dish of filet mignon medallions and a lobster tail but I know you don't fancy the Grand Floridian.

Or...you can head to Yak and Yeti at the Animal Kingdom and try their Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp. It's skirt steak, tempura-battered shrimp, jasmine rice, stir-fried vegetables, chili plum dipping sauce.

Aside from that, for me, I'd go for a unique surf and turf burger deluxe at Kona Cafe with an angus chuck patty and brie cheese topped with spicy shrimp served with sweet potato fries. Yum. Only downside is that the burger is only available for lunch. Never had it myself but that's a new burger on my bucket list!

Artist Point at WL has great seafood (I had an amazing halibut) and some interesting meat choices like bison and venison. Flying Fish is also a good choice. I am dying to try Narcoossee's in September. Oh and Yak and Yeti has an Amazing miso salmon.

My DH loves seafood. I am so/so..... Last month on our most recent visit we tried the Cape May Cafe for dinner. It was wonderful. DH had more than his fill of crab legs and I feasted mostly on the carved sirloin. Soups, salad etc were all delicious as usual for Disney. Try it - you'll like it!!!

Well after much perusing menus and checking out reviews..We have decided to get an ADR for Narcoossee's and the fact we can get a boat from WL to GF is an added bonus...Am I right in saying this is a signature restaurant which will require appropriate dress code...Will be packing dress clothes anyway so no big deal...

Yes Narcoossee's is a signature restaurant so they say you should wear resort casual sometimes called business casual. DH and I ate at 3 signature restaurants last year and we dressed accordingly. We were shocked by the amount of people dressed in t-shirts and wearing flip flops. I think a lot of people do not adhere to the dress code. I can't wait to try Narcoossee's. That was my pick for this up coming trip, well my DH picked California Grill. We love to eat when we are on vacation.

This is a wonderful restaurant with great food and wonderful views of the fireworks. However on the dress code we were very disappointed when we were there this past October. We had read about business casual as the dress code well unless business casual includes jean shots and tshirts am not aware of that change. So by all means bring your business casual but be prepared to see people not dressed accordingly.

Holy crap, I need all of these things! Yummy!

For a signature surf and turf meal, though, I'd go with Flying Fish!
