Taking Your Lapu Lapu Home....

Ok..Silly cocktail question...One of my missions at disney is to try the famous LaPu Lapu at the Poly..I read where after you have finished it,you should half and quarter it to taste the lovely fresh pineapple fruit...So does this mean I can take it back to our resort.?..Sail from the Poly to MK then sail back to WL..Or maybe fly....LOL...Anyway, is there any problem with doing this.?..I don't want to get into trouble with the Hawaii 5-0 police.. laugh

I don't think that there's any reason you couldn't take it with you on the boats, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I usually just dismantle it on the spot.

I had a lapu lapu last year and although I didn't take it away I did ask the bar tender if he had a spoon he didn't but found me a fork now this was possibly the most useless thing anyone could have given me but I sure had fun trying and once I track down my photos I will post to show the determination I had!!!! It's almost as fun as the cocktail itself!!!

The bartender should be able to box it up for you. I have seen them slice them up for guests and place them in a togo box. Get a knife and spoon from your counter service restaurant at your resort and you should be good. Its no more difficult than that!

Hahaha! Honestly, I use a straw to dismantle the thing. You can usually push the straw down the fresh pineapple flesh and it fills the inside of the straw, then you can just suck it out. I know, I know, I'm like 5. But hey - it works!

Lol...I've heard it all now..If I started that, the noise of me sucking it thro my straw would have my DW and DS running off and leaving me.. laugh
