Jess was mentioning in the FastPass for Mickey thread that it might become a "Talking Mickey." I haven't decided how I feel about him talking, what do you guys think?

That is really amazing the way the mouth moves, eyes blink and the voice sounds amazing. I can't help wonder if "Mickey" is speaking into some sort of 'voice translator' or if he is manipulating his real voice to sound like Mickey?

I love this! I really highly do! I think its someone who can talk like Mickey to be honest. I do a lot of voices and with Disney behind it... it should be really easy for someone to train a cast member to sound like Mickey. The other option is the turtle Crush. You can interact with Crush on a screen and it reacts back. That could also be the case here as well.

Love it! To be honest I think the non-talking version is more freaky. I also like the way the mouth and nose moves. Way cool!
ummm... yeah I like the non-talking. I think that it's too easy for the Mickey voice to be "wrong" you know? I mean.. EVERYONE knows someone that thinks they can do the Mickey voice and it's never quite right. Besides, even the current voice of Mickey isnt "right" in my mind anyway. It's gotten very high and well.. cartoony.
The face characters (princesses and such) make their voices too high too and it always bugs me. Whenever I hear them I always think.. That doesnt sound anything like her!! lol.. then I focus on the voice and not the character.
but that's just me I guess lol
Also, wouldnt it make the lines longer too? having conversations? I dont really care about that because I just skip past the character lines anyway. But sometimes the lines are in my way darn it! let me get by please!!

I agree. I take for granted the characters aren't going to talk, and I'm fine with it. But I'm not sure how the next generation will feel about it. Darn technology
Wow, I actually think it's pretty awesome. I just showed my son and he loves it!

Nope, I don't like it. It's too creepy. Leave Mickey as a character who doesn't talk. It's more magical that way!
I was able to talk to the "talking" Mickey last weekend at the D23 Expo. Honestly it was a pretty cool experience.
Let's remember it all started with a mouse
Is it a little like the interactive Mr. Potato head in the Toy Story Mania line, or as mentioned like Crush in turtle talk? The technology is amazing.

I would say it's more like crush. He could ad lib with the conversation.
