Things to Do When Killing Time

What do you do when you're just killing time at Walt Disney World? Maybe it's a few minutes before your table is ready, or your fast pass loading is available, maybe you're waiting for the bus, boat, or monorail. Perhaps you're waiting to meet up with a family member.

How do you fill the minutes at WDW when you don't really have time to go do something, but you don't want to just sit on a bench?

Sometimes sitting on a bench is quite nice. But usually, if I'm waiting, I just wait while looking around at whatever.

We like to find a bench in the park and just relax and really take in all the Disney Magic. People watching is fun too.

I work with a few people who don't think before picking out footwear.

I went to New Orleans in May with a bunch of people to celebrate my brother's birthday. One day we were sitting at Jackson Square and I had everyone playing the stoopid shoe game.

yay I never knew the game had a name! We always search out and comment to each other on ridiculous footwear! And I'm so glad we're not alone! laugh laugh I love a sky-high pair of heels as much as the next person, maybe more, one of my favorite pieces of advice is "Keep your head, standards and heels high" But seriously? Stilettos in the Magic Kingdom? Really? So, I'd have to vote for Stoopid Shoes as my favorite time-killer. awesome

I've never understood it, either. My back and knees are bad enough. . .

We like to try and find critters. Those little lizzards are pretty entertaining!

Sometimes we just wonder and look for hidden Mickeys or we'll sit on a bench and people watch.

I happened to notice two little lizards on a "riverbed" of rocks in the Japan Pavilion in October. So I started l looking more closely at the landscape and I found another, and another, and another... Oh my gosh... there may have been 100. I moved from that spot pretty quickly. I can handle a couple here and there but the mass of them completely creeped me out! They weren't exactly hidden, but because they blended in with the rocks you had to be paying attention to see them.

Shock

I watched one on the sidewalk at CBR this last spring. Didn't move for the longest time. I reached a finger out and touched his skinny, scaly tail only to have him do a flying jump turn and scare the pee out of Kim. Yeah - I didn't jump, but she squealed like. . .well, like a girl. biggrin

From that moment on we had to do 'lizard radar sweeps' everywhere we walked, sat, etc.

Dumb lizards. sarcastic
