So yesterday on Disneyquestions.com someone asked how much to tip Mousekeeping, the site said its up to the guest. Then others started posting. Some said they tip $20 a night I was really shocked by this. I thought general (non Disney) was $2-$3 a night, more for great service. I never thought I was being cheap......Sooo.....what do you tip??
Now we are DVC members and we tip $2-$3 a night, which I thought was plenty since they only come twice when we are there-we go for 10 days. Do you tip the same as DVC member as if ou were staying non DVC?
What about Dining tipping? We almost always tip 20%, it has to be really bad service not to get 20% from us. Although at Disney we usually are a big group so tip is usually already added-we will add more for a great CM. Although buffets can be tricky since your waiter/waitress generally doesn't do much, but if they are good about keeping our drinks filled, plates cleared we tip good. I do remember last time at Cape May Cafe breakfast our waitress wasn't very good, she was annoyed by my youngest, who was two and not liking the characters and cried, but my kids weren't wild. She wasn't "warm and fuzzy" at all! And we didn't see her hardly until it was check time, I was thirsty
Again with all of these, if someone goes above and beyond, is super nice to us we show our appreciation. And service has to be really bad for us not to tip nicely.
