Great trip report!! Sounds like it was such a great time!!

I've never really thought seriously about eating at Garden Grill because nothing sounded particularly appetizing to me, and my sister is pretty much a vegetarian so I knew it may be a problem for her. BUT I heard recently from some vegetarians that there is a vegetarian option available upon request, and they absolutely loved the offerings so now I'm considering it a little more. Chip and Dale are my favorites so a character dining experience with them would be amazing for me, haha.

Chip & Dale really are great! I would be curious about what the vegetarian option entails. Will you share with us if you find out?

It's all the vegetables and sides, but the entree was a fried polenta cake with peppers and corn in it, with some kind of veggie ragout underneath and grilled vegetables on top. They pretty much said it was the best meal on their trip which included some signature dining.

Thanks for giving such a detailed answer. My OCD absolutely loves your thorough answers awesome

I'll eat Turkey too, so we may try this restaurant. I'm sure if we asked for the potatoes on the side, or beef well done, etc... that they would be accommodating. It's Disney!

Happy to help. I love to ramble on (and on, and on, and on), so I'm glad that you also enjoy reading!! LOL

rolling Good to know there are other people who ramble on as much as I do!

I love thorough answers, keep it up awesome

Great TR as always, Alicemouse!! It's so wonderful to hear that the CMs were all so knowledgable and helpful when it came to handicap accessibility awesome

I've really enjoyed reading your TR. It's great how it seems everyone's needs/wants/wishes were met - I think your 'go with the flow' attitude was key to this. It's nice to hear how accommodating the CMs were too.

Great TR I have enjoyed reading it a lot!!!!

about the flying I am from the UK and we have an airline called easyjet which I think is a bit like your southwest and I understand the cramped feeling (not that I am a nervous flyer) however I can honestly say when we have flown long distance it is always a lot smoother and you barely feel like you are flying - last year I didn't even know we had taken off it was so smooth and they have TV's in the backs of your seats so that keeps you entertained, I wouldn't be put off by experience of "budget" airlines because flying long distance is a completely different experience!

Thanks, Amy! I'm good if the flight is smooth, but the little bumps send my brain spiraling out of control! I do like that on Southwest, the pilots come over the loudspeaker and let you know if it's going to be bumpy. The few times we hit turbulence on AirTran, so one ever said anything--like maybe if they didn't talk about it, we wouldn't notice.

I usually know my turbulence on easyjet flights (then again I'm slightly weird in the fact I actually quite like turbulence!) but when we fly long haul even when they tell you about it I very rarely feel it and if I do it doesn't actually feel much different to the movement on the plane I think the key is the better class of airline - the smoother ride you have!!!

This report is great! I love Chip and Dale! I saw Chip throw a fit at their Rivers of America crossings yesterday. I love my favorite troublemakers.

Chip sat down in the middle of the road in front of Diamond Horseshoe and refused to get up. I wish I could of taken a picture of it.

Awesome trip report, Alicemouse.

We've had mixed experience with Southwest. Sometimes it's wonderfully smooth, other times bumpy, so I think you just "lucked" into turbulence on your last few trips.

I'm late to the party, but great TR, Alice! So happy to hear you had such a wonderful experience with the CMs! Loved how detailed the report was and all of the pictures. I'm really being swayed that we need to add Garden Grill to our Dec '15 trip plan...it looks so yummy! And that mac & cheese hotdog? I want it! I NEED IT! biggrin

Important tip--sit down to eat the hot dog. We tried to eat them while standing for the Star Wars parade. It required some serious balancing skills!

Great tip alicemouse, Definitely sit down with it! My DH got the BBQ hotdog w/ coleslaw on top. The picture shows it as pulled BBQ pork on the bottom, then the hotdog, then the coleslaw on top. This looked manageable to my DH so he got one right before B&TB, w/ no fork. Well, they put the pulled pork AND the coleslaw on top. He would of had to unhinge his jaw to be able to take a normal bite laugh
He just took little bites. He said it tasted good but it was hard to eat. So grab a fork too.
