Travel Time Map

I know, I know! ENOUGH FJF! I promise, just this one more post then I'll go to bed and cover my head for the night - I have a cold anyway.

If you have listened to people talking on the monorail or bus or boat/ferry/or other water vessel, I know you have heard people say, "Wow, I didn't know it would take this long. We're not going to be able to make dinner at the Castle (or Wishes or Fantasmic or whatever)." And until you've done it a few times, it is difficult to judge. Perhaps we could develop a map with times for travel from resort to resort or resort to park or whatever based on the mode of transportation and the time of day. I know, it's ambitious, but an interesting thought. Any ideas?

Now, off to nite nite.

I will have to get the OK from admin to post the web site as as I do not want to go against any rules but what you are suggesting has been done very well and accurately by another site and does any scenario on getting from point A to point B and by any mode of transportation. When I hear that it is OK to post it and I log back on I will do so meanwhile feel free to keep going on your idea.

Excellent observation. You leave your room thinking you'll be at a certain place in 20 minutes or so, and 45 minutes later you're still trying to get there.

This is absolutely a problem (and a big reason why we're such advocates of renting a car)!!

On our Transportation Planning Tools page, we link to the Our Laughing Place Transportation Wizard--this is a cool wizard that lets you enter in your starting point and destination, then gives you several different routes to get there and the time it will take to complete each one.

Vettelover--we're more than happy to have you post any great links you find to good Disney websites and tools. Looking forward to any insights!

This has to be a huge problem for first-timers in particular. Although I haven't heard it as high up the complaint list as others. Or am I just talking to the wrong people?

You beat me to it admin that Our Laughing Place Transportation Wizard was the exact link I was going to post. I use it when trying to estimate how much time is needed to keep an ADR etc.
