Which guide did you read? I read the Unofficial Guide and the Imagineers Field Guide.
I read the Unofficial Guide. I'm a fan of their perspective and I especially enjoy the humor in their books, though I have found Touringplans.com to be woefully inaccurate in their crowd level predictions in the past. Not to mention that the touring plans site just broke the news to me that the Matterhorn Bobsleds will be closed during our visit!
Is the Imagineers Field Guide pretty good, too?
The field guides don't go into wait times and touring tips. They talk about park construction, features, and details. Stuff that you may not notice or take for granted. I think they can help you appreciate the parks a bit more. They are definitely worth $10
BTW the bobsleds are a rough ride. Very cramped cars and bumpy. My knees were in my chest. That was a one and done for me.
Thanks I'll pick one up! I am bummed about the Matterhorn, but at least that means that I already have an excuse to go back! I didn't expect it to be my favorite, but it so...iconic Disneyland. And there are so many other great attractions to look forward to that we don't have at "home"! Grizzly River Run, Radiator Springs Racers, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Toontown...can I leave tomorrow, please??
