Tusker House Breakfast - Transportation

Hey folks...so as you know we will be doing our character breakfast at the Tusker House inside AK this year. Our breakfast reservation is for 8:00 AM (an hour before the park opens). Since we will not have a car this trip and will be using WDW transporation, I'm wondering about how to get to AK by 8:00 AM. My past experience has shown the bus doesn't start running until an hour before park opening, which in this case would be 8:00 AM the time we're supposed to be at breakfast. We have 7 people in our party....any suggestions on how to get over to the AK before 8:00 AM?

Well... if thats open... then the bus should be running an hour before then. At least I would think so? If not... cab would be the only other option I would think. Your not gonna want to go to AKL and walk. Ill tell ya that much.

Taxi will probably be your best option. You can have them send a van for you. Where are you staying?

Walking from AKL is never an option, there's no safe path.

We're staying at Port Orleans FQ. Can I set up the taxi/van the night before, or do I need to do it farther in advance

yay clapping French Quarter. yay clapping We setup taxis the night before all the time. Bell services are great about that. Also keep in mind the travel time,the security to check bags to get into the park is minimal compared to regular hours and you have to walk all the way over there. The first time we went we didn't know all that so I thought we left in plenty of time and we were 20 mins late for our ressie.

I usually bring my own car, so not sure what would be your best way. What would happen if you asked at the desk when you check in? Maybe they could give you different options?

We have an ADR for Tusker house at 8:15 am the morning we arrive. AK opens at 8:00 am that day. Are we safe to take the bus?

I had an ADR at Tusker House last year prior to park opening and took a bus from Pop Century. From what I understand buses start running one hour prior to the earliest reservation.

We had no problem with the bus from AKL. We had ressies at 8am with the park opening at 9am. Buses had already begun and we were at the park by 740 no problem

In fact, we finished breakfast and opened up the safari. it was great!

Hi Kris,
Getting to AK for your 8:00am reservation will be no problem I have been to many early morning events at several parks and have had no problems.
There is an early morning bus that runs for just these events--it leaves the barn at 6:45am and depending where you are staying, you will have plenty of time. I've been at the AKL and the bus usually gets there around 7:10 or 7:15, but we get down to the bus stop by 7:00am just to be sure.
