Is Victoria and Albert's a "Must Do"?

Curious if this is something you need to do once, or if it's not worth the money eek

I was wondering the same thing. Anyone been here?

I've never been. I feel like it might be a bit much (cost-wise and "attention"-wise).

Bumping for more opinions...

Attention-wise?

I knew we had talked about this before. It seems that Scott is the only one of us who has been here and unless I'm wrong he finds it a must-do.

Hi,

I don't know if I would dine there alone (although I did dine at California Grill alone in 2004).

That's an interesting point Jim, I made a thread to discuss the best solo dining at WDW. I'm impressed you managed California Grill, I thought I was hardcore. silly

I think dining at California Grill alone would be great, actually! Such a gorgeous view, attentive servers, eavesdropping on the conversations around you...

Didn't see this post earlier -- sorry all! I haven't eaten at V&As yet, but I definitely think it's a must-do for Disney fans who can swing the price. We all need to treat ourselves once in a while, and this is the perfect way to celebrate...at least if you love food.

I posted about V&A's in the 'Obscure' things thread. IMHO, I think V&A's is a definite must-do...at least once.

V&A's is very expensive. But...of all the places in WDW I have eaten, it has got to be one of the, if not THE, most romantic restaurants I have ever eaten in!

But I will probably never do it again. It's one of those places that you can never recapture the first time.

This is good to know, as I probably wouldn't be able to pay for it a second time laugh

I have no desire to go to V&A, not only is it very expensive, but I don't like having to dress up in the middle of my vacation (especially at Disney where it requires leaving a park early, going back to change, eating, going to hotel to change again, then going back to a park)! It is too much hassle!

I feel that way for the most part, but I kind of like to have one or two events during the trip where we get all "cleaned up." V&A may be a bit over the top though.

We haven't been yet, but I think we'll go next trip. I like to get cleaned up every once in a while. It feels good to get yourself all prettied up; and that's a lot of work for me wink I too have a hard time justifying the cost of some things, but I have learned as I've gotten older some things are worth their weight in gold (peach and quite/romance dining at Disney?).
