I have friends spending their Thanksgiving holidays at WDW. They're staying at the Pop Century. I've never been to WDW over Thanksgiving...has anyone else? Is there anything notable about it, or does TG just get swallowed up by Christmas? I'm pretty sure that the restaurants to TG dinner, but I didn't know if anything else special was going on that I should tell them to look out for.
I've always been too scared by the crowds to think about going near Thanksgiving!
HA - you are wise! I tried to talk them out of it, but she's a college professor and her two boys are in school, so they're sort of stuck by the school calendars. Hopefully they tolerate crowds well. We went a few years back the Sun before Thanksgiving to MK for my daughter's bday - INSANE.
We were planning a Thanksgiving trip a few years ago that got pushed to another date...but it didn't seem there was too much "Thanksgivingness" going on other than the restaurants offering Thanksgiving style meals. I do remember being surprised at how many places were offering Thanksgiving-esque dinners. I think our ADR was at Ohana. I was bummed when we had to change the dates.

We'll also be at Pop over the Thanksgiving break. It will probably be crazy, so we're not setting anything in stone other than our dinner reservations.
We really only have a couple of "must rides" at each park so we try and hit those first to get a FP and then just wander and soak in the magic. We have Park Hopper tix so if one park gets too crazy we'll just move to another. If they're all too nuts we'll go take a nap
