We got in!!

Well I lucked out and was able to get adr's at Be our Guest for our first night, a little late for dinner for us at 815 but not gonna pass up the chance.

Now the only thing that worries me is that my dw and ds can be a bit picky when it comes to food (my dw more than my ds) and looking at the menu I am a little nervous that she may not find something she likes. Has anybody been there with a picky eater, and were they able to find and enjoy something?

Congrats on the ressie!!! You will enjoy, I am sure Smile

I am a pretty picky eater, and when we went in September, I got the steak with garlic fries. Pretty safe and very yummy. Joe had the braised pork dish (I'll look up the exact name and post), which he really enjoyed. And he's just as picky. Some pics, which make me drool all over again.....

Hey stranger! Boy those garlic fries look good right now....

We had an ADR at be our guests but they changed the chicken dish and that was the only thing I would have eaten Sad so we settled on lunch...

Hiyas Kristen!! bighug

I know, right?? I made the mistake of going through our September trip report and relived all the awesome food. Then I went back to our 2011 trip report and drooled some more. Holy smokes I love Disney food stuff so much!!

When I was there in the fall I had the salmon and my BFF had the steak and garlic fries. Both were excellent.

that steak does look amazing and that braised pork, I think she would be very happy with the steak and fries. Thanks for the picks Jeff

Did you make your ADR's at the 180 mark? I would love to eat at Be Our Guest, but wondering realistically how hard it is to get an ADR even if trying at the 180 day mark. Thoughts?

My husband and I are both fairly picky eaters (ex: my husband hates crunchy things) and we enjoyed our entire meal there! Smile

I stayed up till around 4am (I think) at my 180 mark and got my day and time that I wanted. Online res opens before phone lines Smile I got all my reservations done that morning on the days/times I wanted. It was pretty great awesome

We rarely ever have a hard time getting into BOG at the 180 mark.

Well last year when I hit the 180 mark (I was online bright and early and even tried calling right at 7 am) I tried to get in to BOG and couldn't and nothing ever came available (as I really didn't want to do lunch there). I keep trying but no way. Will this year for my May trip I again did the 180 mark and to my surprise there was only one time slot available for the entire week we are there and that was for 5:05 pm on my last day so I took it. But when I saw the post that more times were available for April I said let me give it a try and to my surprise there were 2 more times 6:50 or 7:10 pm so before I booked it I called Disney and guess what when she tried to look up availability she had nothing. How can that be? Well needless to say I got the 7:10 pm and am very happy. But I still think it is strange that Disney couldn't see the new available slots.

We got in for lunch on April 7 this morning! I've been checking every three or four days, so that means the window was open at around 45-50 days.

Here's the link

Fingers crossed for me then! Reservations open at 3:00am (PST), and I will be working a night shift at that time so I will be up anyways! Will try, but I will be crushed if I don't get our restaurants. We want: Be Our Guest, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Les Chefs de France (not entirely sure of this one yet), Boma, and 'Ohana. Times aren't super important (as long as we aren't eating after 7:00...at home dinner is usually served at 4:30! biggrin My travel agent recommended trying to reserve Be Our Guest first, then 'Ohana, followed by Akershus. Do you agree this is the best order to go in when trying to secure reservations? Bah...this whole elusive ADR thing is turning me into a neurotic basket case!

Yes I did it first thing when I got up the day of the 180 mark and still had to wait for an 815 and we are not going at a super busy time of year but that place seems to be really tough to get in to

Gah! Now I'm rethinking trading in our BOG dinner for lunch after seeing Jeff's yummy pictures! I just can't make up my mind with this!
