What Day Is It.?

Good Sunday Morning Folks...Yes today is Sunday and my favourite day of the week..I tune my I- Pad into my Disney music channel ( Mouse Radio ) and prepare our gospel brunch..Always wear a Disney T- Shirt ( DCD ) Stands for " Disney Compulsive Disorder." And away I go...( DW & DS shakes heads in disbelief ) But here's the thing, when I'am at WDW I never think what day it is..I get up first thing in the morning ( usually around 06.30 ) Switch on the coffee machine, and plan our day ahead.( that's usually planned out the night before ) ...But I never once stop to think " Oh it's Monday " or " What day is it today "..Funny that each day I consider to be a Disney day...Do any of yourselves have this same disorder.?.... confused

LOL
Since my DH and I are life-long teachers, our "sign" that it is summer is when we ask each other "What day it is?" But with the addition of summer school and such, we don't get that much now. Since I am retired this year, i find I sleep better and still have to remember what day it is in the morning.

Now at Disney, it's not a let's say Tuesday, it' s Disney Hollywood, or MK! with a time to be up and there attached! I guess it's like your brain, not unlike my wrist, wear it's own Mickey watch.

It's MAGIC time!

LOL. Yes. I usually know the date at Disney (which I can NEVER remember at home) because the date is at the top of my spreadsheet. My memory is borderline photographic, so after looking at my spreadsheet every day to the point of not just memorization, but indoctrination, I do know the date that goes with each day's plans. I have NO IDEA what day of the week corresponds with that date. That's not part of the spreadsheet; therefore, it is information that is unnecessary for me to know!

we don't go by what day of the week it is as much as we go by how many days we have left. the beginning of the week is great when you have 10 9 8 7 days left but when you get to 3 2 and 1 it is really depressing

I actually have a favorite day of the week at Disney, Monday! I hate them at home but we usually go to EPCOT on Mondays and the park is never too busy no matter how busy the rest of the place is! Besides a Grey Goose slush and or a Leaping Leprechaun always helps!

I know what day of the week it is, because at first I'm thinking, "Monday, we still have X more days here!" Then near the end of the trip I'm thinking, "Darn, it's Thursday, only X days left before we have to go home."

Of course, our upcoming trip throws that all out of whack since it's an extended weekend. So it'll be, "Thursday, we just got here, 4 full days ahead!" Then later, "Monday, bummer, our last full day."

I don't really have a designated Disney day outside of the Disney parks where every day is a Disney day so to speak. But I mean, days of the week doesn't really matter much when its comes to planning my daily itinerary for a Disney vacation although if there was something I really wanted to catch on TV like a big sporting event or a sports match I really want to see, I obviously would prefer not to go to MK or Epcot on that day. There have been a few times where I left the AK or HS in the afternoon to watch March Madness or other sporting events of my interest in my hotel room as examples but no chance I would leave the MK and/or Epcot for that! I love those parks too much and I wouldn't even consider it! It's not just that, however. I also take into the account the weather, as well. Fortunately, it hasn't rained very often on my trips but ever since my 2013 trip, a rainy day means an off-day from the parks. That's just me though.
