What is the LEAST worth it thing you've ever done at WDW?

What are some activities that either weren't worth the trouble or the money?

I know everyone will disagree with me, but for saving the money by using Disney Transport just isn't worth it. The time we give up isn't worth the money we save.

Brad,
I agree with you 100%. We drive to Disney though so there is no real savings of money for us. I am sure however that using our car saves us lots of time. With as much hopping around as we do I can not imagine how much time we would spend trying to get from one place to another.

I would have to say that "Sounds Dangerous" with Drew Carey was the biggest disapointment and waste that I have ever done in WDW. I could be wrong but I believe that it may be closed now or only open at the busiest of times.

That is a good one to add to the list Vettelover. I can not say I hated it but once was really enough. I would have to give it a couple points though for the fact that you get to sit and it is air conditioned. Mr Hub and I have been know to hop in just for a little break.

It's a good place to have a 20 minute snooze in the middle of the day though.

Yes I will have to agree with that. Leave the headphones off and it's very dark and quiet and cool. "POWER NAP" time laugh

I didn't care for Sounds Dangerous (and I like Drew Carey) or Ellen's Universe of Energy. I agree they are good for a nap, but that's about all.

Oh man Ellen's Universe of Energy slays me. It is so painful to sit through. My friend wanted to do it last time since her name is Ellen. I think it kills valuable park time and is a waste of energy! biggrin

I can agree with both Sounds Dangerous and Ellen's Energy Adventure. I hadn't done the Ellen attraction for years and figured we'd go on it just for fun -- maybe we'd like it better than we used to. Nope! Still boring! Wink

Brad -- we prefer to drive around WDW, too -- it really does save us a lot of time.

I must be the only person on the planet who kind of likes Sounds Dangerous. Oh well.

For me, the biggest waste of time is EASILY the backstage tour. There is NOTHING to see there!

Good suggestion with the backstage tour. We all have attractions that we like that other people think are boring. I'm trying to pick which booth in Innoventions I think is the biggest waste of time.

Yes, I think Innoventions USED to be so great but after it changed it lost its appeal to me.

The Prince Caspian walk through in DHS was terrible two summer ago when I went! We waited and went in just to see some movie objects? There wasn't even a prince caspian there! That was a waste of time imho.

I can never tell if that place is still open. I see a sign, but do you know if they actually still run that thing?

Innoventions (when it was the Communicores I think) used to be so cool when it opened.
The Narnia things were HUGE wastes of time!

Hi,

Innoventions for me is nothing more than a video arcade with a high admission price and kids that prevent you from playing the games.

We really do need to find a way to get all these darn kids out of WDW. It's the biggest problem there. How would everyone rate Rafiki's Planet Watch on the worth it scale?

We had our first "just was not worth it, would not do it again" experience at Disney on our last trip. We went to both the Hoop De Doo Revue and Mickeys Backyard BBQ. To me while neither one was worth 2 meals per person on the dinning plan, Mickeys Backyard BBQ was really a bust.

I love Disney Transport! I don't know why but I just love getting on those buses..even if they do take forever.

Living with the Land is 20 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

I think Hoop-De-Doo is more appealing if you didn't pay two credits for it. Seems kind of fun, but somehow not on par with Citricos. laugh

LWTL is probably something I'll try again because it was one of those rides that got a bad rap because of the circumstances..
1. Sign said 10 minute wait..ended up being almost 50.
2. Smelly guy behind us
3. Really obnoxious teenager in front of us

I belive they are still officially listing it as "seasonal" which is usually the death knell for an attraction. It's definite a harbinger that says the end is near.

I agree with your first point totally, and as for your second question, I'd rate it so high that I was about to post in this thread about it and then I saw that you'd already mentioned it.

It's not that it's bad, it's just that it's......not good. silly I mean, it just seems like there is a ton of potential there that isn't being realized.

I have never seen this attraction! I'm not a HUGE Drew Carey fan, and being in the dark with loud noises hasn't ever been my definition of a good day silly

Speaking of places that take up more space than they're worth -- It seems like there is a lot of space in Innoventions dedicated to stuff I hvae ZERO interest in.

I'm also disappointed with Aladdin's Carpet ride. It's the exact same thing as Dumbo! Aladdin has such cool scene's...How neat would a simulated ride through the temple tomb pyramid thing be to get the treasure and get out while it's crashing or a hillarious genie comedy attraction. Those carpets are lame and Aladdin has so much potential!

I've ALWAYS thought that - Aladdin is such a wasted opportunity. The ride could be amazing much as you describe it and I'm kind of surprised they've never capitalized on the opportunity there.

These are really good points. They've got a popular Aladdin musical at Disneyland, but I've never seen them do any thing really cool as far as a ride. Too bad the fantasyland expansion isn't including anything either.

I'm imagining like a Rock N' Roller Coaster ride -- a roller coaster where you're on a "magic carpet" (the seats could be like ones on Nitro in Six Flags where you seem like you're BARELY in the seat, but the restraints are much better than you think) and you're flying through Baghdad or escaping the Cave of Wonders....it really could be VERY cool

The idea about the less restraining seat harnesses is key I think. That's part of the thrill of a magic carpet after all!
