I just heard today that due to a change in Florida law, the arcades are changing property-wide. Apparently there is a Florida law that says something to the effect that no awards can be given for games of chance. Although the law is directed at curbing illegal gambling operations, Disney is eliminating anything that could be construed to be out of compliance with this law.
Sooo...the arcade in the Space Mountain gift shop is closing entirely and for all of the other arcades, the claw machines and the prize counters to being removed and games that previously gave tickets based on your score will no longer give tickets. Apparently I will no longer be rewarded with candy for my skeeball playing abilities.
Be good at something. It makes you valuable. Have something to bring to the table because that will make you more welcome. --Randy Pausch
